That is so bad. But you got the brass hardware, I am sure your local leather or shoe repair shop can make a replacement strap for you. Meanwhile maybe contact seller for a partial refund?I received the bag. The strap has been cut and left raw

That's great to know!hmmm so far- I think sending thru GSP there has been no repacking. Ive gotten intricately wrapped bags in colorful tissue and thank you notes! so I think packages arent repacked
too late for any refund, I already accepted the bag. With the hub bub of Thanksgiving and sneaking the bags into the house (hubby says I have too many - and he's right) I didn't check it thoroughly. Maybe I'll ask the cobbler to finish the cut end and use it that way. She'll just have to be a keeper

I was hoping it was a bit lighter in colour. Im not a black bag fan at all...I have 5 only. I have bought a black bag to rehab for a christmas present. The zip is still drying and its looking really good in shape and feel but I just cant love the dark colour.

Hello Narnanz, I gave my daughter a navy city bag, I thought it was VERY close to my black city bag, almost the same colour, but she said in the sunlight, it does indeed look navy, a dark navy. JMHO, I suggest to stay away from navy if you are not fond of the dark colours. Of course, it is your choice.
I was just about to come here to ask the same question! I got a Devon bag off eBay that the seller stated was navy blue but received it today and in putting it side by side a black bag I couldn’t even tell the difference in color. But since it’s evening here, I was thinking of waiting until daylight to compare. I’m kind of disappointed to hear that they are almost indistinguishable though!
Thing is I do like Navy...but this just might be too dark for me. I can always sell on as I think the Zip is a great bag.
70s and 80s navy is indistinguishable from black unless you put them side by side in sunlight, and even then it is hard to tell. I have one precreed bag that I keep going back and forth on whether it is navy or black. 90s navy might be a little more blue. Coach used navy zippers in nearly everything until the late 90s, so the zipper color doesn't mean anything.
Finished the Zip...little more drying but thats ok. Lighting is not that great to see what the colour is. Before on left, after on right.
Im pleased with it....but I just cant find any love for the colour.
I put my black top against it and its def navy...but on its own it just looks black.
Sigh...I dont know what it is about black bags. I not a fan of black lining as I can never find anything.
Maybe I was hoping it was more blue and am just disappointed about that.
