A little brown craft paint mixed with conditioner will work. Use just a little paint to a large amount of conditioner. If it needs more, do another coat later. Also, use Blackrocks, but wait a few days for the paint to become permanent.Dear Coach Rehabbers,
I have a Coach Fletcher that I am cleaning up so that I can wear it this week (the bag was authenticated in the "authenticate this"). It has some imperfections that I am totally fine with as they give the bag character. But the strap has an area of damage along the edge. I've put Leather CPR and Coach moisturizer on it and it hasn't changed the look. Is there any kind of product that I could use to make these edges brown again? I know not to use shoe polish, of course. I also don't want to damage it or do anything that would no longer make it a Coach bag, if you understand my meaning. If I should just leave it alone, it would be OK and I would still wear the bag with pride. Is this just going to be another one of the details of the bag that gives it character? Or is there a product that I could use that can recolor a small area like this? Thanks for any info that you can provide.View attachment 4577236
Wait until you are completely done with the rehab. It should darken up with the dunk and conditioning.Ok -question from the newbee again. Got my Berkerley today and will dunk tomorrow. Just asking about the scuffing on these edges.Does it even out a little with dunking or will I need to do a little drying on these edges.View attachment 4577402

Wow! Great job! Did you redye this? If so, what did you use?
Unfortunately I have not had the luck here with restoring the color on piping that others have had here with their bags, especially dark brown and black simply by cleaning and conditioning. If you do not have success with dunking and conditioning like me, people have touched up the edges with various products. It does appear to be moderate wear there. Not the worst, but more than a little. Good luck!Ok -question from the newbee again. Got my Berkerley today and will dunk tomorrow. I will take whateves advice and just do the usual dunk and see how she comes out. I do have a good black dye that Ive used on other bags as just a touchup.Unfortunately I have not had the luck here with restoring the color on piping that others have had here with their bags, especially dark brown and black simply by cleaning and conditioning. Thank you so much for your message for and for the advice. I will certainly give it a shot! Though I am chomping at the bit to use the bag now that it's clean LOL. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. This is a great idea as well. I will take a look for this product when I'm out and about. I can't wait to get this bag out and about! Thank you again!I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this but for small areas like that, I use kiwi brand leather dye. They sell it in the same area you would find shoe polish. It's a bottle with a sponge in the top. And I think the bottle says "restores color and finish before polishing". It costs around $5.
I don’t think the wrinkles would crack. They look like they could be from veins. I don’t think the appearance would change much with dunking. More opinions are welcome.hi everyone. I am looking to get a briefcase like this- but im wondering if anyone has any experience with the "lines" in this photo? best to avoid? maybe if this is dunked it will crack? View attachment 4578186
