HI REHABBERS!-Well It's Been a long time since I've posted. HELLO! HELLO! So the Past coupla days I'm getting messages from ebayers with simple questions about rehabbing. Feeling generous I've been obliging -but convos inevitably turn into requests for full blown tutorials. I repeatedly suggest or advise that they should join TPF & check out & interact with this awesome community And I always suggest they have their bags Authenticated Rehabbing & Selling isn't gonna make you a millionaire Sellers can ASK any damn stupid inflated price they want but asking ain't selling-and Cash in hand is worth way more than a pile of bags in the closet..So short story long my question is
Did anyone that's a new-ish member have a problem finding this site? In my experience you all are welcoming & lovely. Not to mention there's a wealth of experience & knowledge here. I hope everyone is doing well. OH BTW-If anyone is looking for some practice repairing piping or a project. I just found a couple bags in my closet.I'm not in the mood to deal with.My.Mom has major medical probs & I don't know what's next so I've been polishing silver, selling our antiques heirlooms& jewels.Anyway- message me.you're looking for a project. If my box is full email me [email protected]
Thanks for Listening. CHEERS!:drinks: Sheri
Just getting around to replying.
I had no problem finding this site. Tell them to Google the Purse Forum Coach then look for the Club House, the look for Rehab/rescue. But right there, that is too much work for some people. Honest!
I also tell people who think about rehabbing, they also need to invest a small amount of $ into the right products. That seems to weed out a few peops off the bat. Then I tell them to search for two YouTube videos *rehab vintage Coach bag*, one short one by sacmagnifiques and a longer one by a poster here, her first name is Desiree that she uses in her Youtube user name (she has posted here) . I have also lost people right there too. I get it, like they want the tutorial from me lol and what me to send them this info instead of researching it themselves. If I still have their interest I tell them about what I have done. And I let them know it’s a little more involved that just going home and rubbing something on the bag they already have in their cabinet, like Coach Conditioner!
Side note, one problem is I see listings for bags that are beat up and beyond and the listing says something ridiculous like, oh this bag would look great with some cleaning

I hate when the stores do that. Put it at 90% off, and I guarantee that someone will buy it.

Yes, it seems so wasteful! At least let an employee take it home or something.

I guess the idea is they don't want products that don't meet the quality standard representing their brand but I'm not sure how that's any different from people carrying around a bag they have damaged from wear and tear over the years.

Like it's crazy to me that LV destroys their unsold stock, when I bet they could continue to sell it. Sometimes it takes us more than a fashion season to decide we want a bag.

They probably have some clear corporate guidelines on not selling defective, returned, etc, bags.

That’s what the old “irregular” stamp + outlets were for. Not for creating inferior product lines and trying to pass them on as a real thing. I can understand why LV does that, but it’s not like you can’t find a dragged through the mud Coach bag of questionable provenance in your local TJ MAXX.

Dear Coach Rehabbers,
I have a Coach Fletcher that I am cleaning up so that I can wear it this week (the bag was authenticated in the "authenticate this"). It has some imperfections that I am totally fine with as they give the bag character. But the strap has an area of damage along the edge. I've put Leather CPR and Coach moisturizer on it and it hasn't changed the look. Is there any kind of product that I could use to make these edges brown again? I know not to use shoe polish, of course. I also don't want to damage it or do anything that would no longer make it a Coach bag, if you understand my meaning. If I should just leave it alone, it would be OK and I would still wear the bag with pride. Is this just going to be another one of the details of the bag that gives it character? Or is there a product that I could use that can recolor a small area like this? Thanks for any info that you can provide.close up fletcher strap - 1.jpg
