I am interested to see how much of the surface dirt come off and if the water stains diminish. It is from the 1999, 2000 Bleeker line with the contrast stitching. I don’t have a catalog pic for it, 9315, but I did find a Holiday catalogs for 1999 and 2000 and have catalog pics of just about all the other 930x and 931x styles. I am a sucker for that line. And this flap is smooshy soft! Even if it turns out to be a rehab dud, it will be an enjoyable dud.
ETA, hey and I just realized I get a hang tag out of it
So I did dunk the Bleeker mini back pack this morning. It does look like the water-like stain on the flap has lifted, which I felt there was a pretty good chance for. As for the rest, we’ll see. I put a app of CPR on earlier. I’ll keep you posted.

So here's the repair! It's drying right now. The paint actually says it takes 48 hours to dry!

What I did: I put a drop of leather cement on the hole, just over the edges. I waited for it to dry, which wasn't long. Then I used an emery board to sand the adhesive down a bit. I painted over it with something called Leather Paint, which basically is acrylic made specifically for leather (or so it says). And now it's drying.

I actually had my son look for the repair just now on the bag. He saw the hole earlier. He had a hard time finding it! My hope is as it dries it will be even less obvious.

Not bad, eh? ;)

It looks great! I bet you won't even see it unless you know where to look.

Question about dunking! Looks like my Rambler arrived today and I’m hoping to get some time to dunk it tonight. I’ve tried to read a lot about it here but one thing I’m not sure about. When letting it soak for 20 mins, do you sort of swish it around and “agitate” it or just let it marinate lol before rinsing?

You can swish..You don't have to do it the entire time. I have a soft brush I use.. I open up the pockets and swirl the water around in them. If there are any stains I put extra soap on them and gently scrub. Then I let it soak.

Ahhhh I’m so excited! My Rambler is here! I know this bag is so common haha but I’m pumped! First time I’ve ever been able to really inspect one of these older styles and the quality just really blew me away. I think it’s in pretty good shape but I’m still going to attempt a full rehab as the strap has a lot of darkening at the top and some other areas need some love. I think this color will be good for me to learn with. I’ve ordered some polishing clothes to clean up the brass as well. Wish me luck!

Is this color Mahogany? And every time I get my creed skills in check my brain seems to forget it all lol It’s A9C-9061 which I think means it’s was made in 1999?

Yes, 1999 and yes mahogany. Mine was made in the same factory several months later than yours. It was one of my first vintage bags (although it wasn't technically vintage when I bought it) and the leather is amazing.
