Clamping my glue repair made it pop apart, so I reglued it this morning because there is time for that before work lol and it seemed to stick, but I don’t know if it will hold long term.

Next problem, and I swear the color of the bag is not messing with my head, it smells like curry. How do I get rid of that?
Is it the glue or the bag that smells like curry? I've been experimenting with E6000 glue (I use it outside or by an open window) and it smells awful for a while. We were just talking here about how foods that smell great when cooking don't smell so great when they linger. Garlic, bacon...and now I want some curry! ;) Seriously, I hope you can get the bag odor free and fresh! I love zeolite rocks and charcoal pouches for pulling out light smells, but nothing has worked for me as well and quickly as white vinegar.

The bag smells like curry, it smelled before I used the glue and washing didn’t help. I even used vinegar on it.

I thought of a possible fix. I will try it and then let you guys know if it worked or not. I also found out that Coach refunded me the 35.00 I paid to them when I sent off my bag.
I've tried a couple of things. I did a test with elastic pinned in to see if I could get it tight enough to work. If it worked, I would have stitched it to the underside of the fabric. It didn't so that was a moot point. My husband tried to use epoxy to rejoin the metal and that did not work He is trying a different kind of industrial adhesive now. We have it in a clamp and are waiting at least 24 hours for it to cure. We thought about going to a jeweler but they usually solder with silver or lead which are both probably too weak to hold. It is possible that I'm going to have to give up on her.

Planning to have it done by a professional they said they’ll have the bag in full color restoration ... would that be okay? I love it when it looks shabby but I’m just curious if the scuff marks would extend (?) from the scuff marks itself (?) like would it peel? I havent got hold of the item yet..... but I’m planning to buy it as I don’t see another regina bag in that color that’s listed.

I'm not an authenticator but if you haven't bought the scuffed bag yet this one looks to be in great condition. And you'd have to request a creed pic if you wanted to have it authenticated.

I had a fairly quick, successful time getting rid of a cigarette smoke smell in my most recent full rehab of an unlined all-leather bag. After I used white vinegar in its bath, I could still smell the smoke but Obenauf’s LP (among other conditioners I use) seems helpful with its scent absorbing into the leather & fighting odor. For good measure, I then put a small sachet inside the bag made with a coffee filter, baking soda & a rubber band. I no longer smell any smoke even when I checked soon following its rehab. After many other methods, I feel this is the most effective & efficient way I’ve found at combatting bag odor to date.

kithrobyn, is there any way to wire the pieces together? (Though it might not repair just hold it together.)

The bag part of my courier took 4 coats of CPR to bounce back. I have found waiting 48 hours after my last coast and checking usually tells me if I need another or am really done. The strap took 3 coats to feel like leather instead of like one of my gram’s vinyl tablecloths with the fuzzy backing, 4 to tempt me to think I might be done and a 5th tonight. Let’s see if tomorrow brings a 6th.

Before and after of my Sheridan, the inside is like new, doesn’t look like anything was carried in it. I did not dunk it wasn’t that dirty. 2 coats of leather cpr & 1 coat of black rocks. Super love this style and the leather is awesome. Last 3 photos are after conditioning.

I thought of that but didn't try it because I think wear would break the wire eventually. But hey, if this doesnt work, that may be my next step. My husband is totally ready for me to bury her but I just can't until I've ruled out all the possibilities. I wish I could just buy a frame that would fit and then replace it.

Can u suggest how will i be able to fix these scuff marks? Pls

@LaVisioneer has this bag. I hope she sees this and might be able to tell you how the bag is colored.

Hi everyone! I think you are asking me to show photos of the inside and outside of my Regina to see how the bag is dyed?

So the inside part of the leather is darker kind of like a darker ivory. The part of the back slip pocket that is the backside of the leather is slightly lighter than the inside of the bag I think because it's been exposed to less dirt.

The bottom of my bag has some scuffs but I have not tried to fix them.

I haven't dunked this bag yet so I can't recommend any rehab tips other than that I'm sorry :/

I have a new project to start on. I bought a Swagger at a yard sale today. The lady who sold it to me said she had it for two years and she was very rough on her bags. She was not lying, lol.

The interior is really rough. I didn't think I would be able to find the serial number because there is a huge hole in the corner of the inside pocket. Fortunately it was still hanging on in there barely.

I am trying to figure out what my first step should be. Should I stitch up the pocket before I clean because that's kind of what I'm thinking. And would it be okay to dunk this bag? It's newer so I'm not as comfortable using my usual methods.

How about something like a heavy duty jump ring? (If I remember the problem correctly)
