Do scuff marks leave noticeable after a color restoration? Juding by sight and touch? Does scuff marks meant spreading like it had peeled some of the leather?

I agree with @whateve, those scuffs look pretty bad. Did you already buy the bag?

If you've never rehabbed or recolored a bag before, I'd recommend you look for one in better condition.

Clamping my glue repair made it pop apart, so I reglued it this morning because there is time for that before work lol and it seemed to stick, but I don’t know if it will hold long term.

Next problem, and I swear the color of the bag is not messing with my head, it smells like curry. How do I get rid of that?

You won't know until you rehab it. It depends on how much damage there is. They won't go away but they might be less noticeable. Those look pretty bad.

Planning to have it done by a professional they said they’ll have the bag in full color restoration ... would that be okay? I love it when it looks shabby but I’m just curious if the scuff marks would extend (?) from the scuff marks itself (?) like would it peel? I havent got hold of the item yet..... but I’m planning to buy it as I don’t see another regina bag in that color that’s listed.

Recoloring it won't get rid of the scuffs. A lot depends on what they use for restoration. If they are professional, they should only be using dye, and that will penetrate the leather rather than cover the surface. If they use a paint, it could cover the scuff marks but I think it would look terrible and be bad for the leather.

Thanks! I’ll let them know about that :) hoping that all would be worth it!! Cos I’m really dying to have a regina in bone [emoji1374]

I didn't expect to love this bag, in fact I considered her the one I was least likely to carry, but... I adore her!
I'm driving my family crazy talking about purse rehabs lol
Some before and after pictures:

What?!? I cannot believe this before and after. This is incredible. How did you get the corners done (they looked like the color faded a bit)?

I love rehabbing bags! My husband said to me yesterday, “You have all these bags (he has actually went through and counted then a few times), when do you carry them?” You know he is right, I put them in my car but I never actually carry them around in the street. I only carry a tiny old Dooney and Burke wallet with my ID, debt cards and cash. WOW! That’s crazy! My car carries my bags. LOL I guess I need to just get more little wallets. Mind blown by my husband [emoji85]

Thank you! I have the awesome ladies here to thank! I have been reading the rehab thread and learning so much! For the corners and other places where there was a lot of rubbing visible even after a dunk in the sink and conditioner, I used a little black Edge Kote mixed with conditioner and just rubbed it into the leather. Then more conditioner after about 24 hours. It's permanent, no rub off.

I like Leather CPR. Many people use Leather Therapy, but I find it darkens some leathers. There are other conditioners that might be available in your country. I like to finish my rehabs with Blackrock leather n rich.

I don't think Apple conditioner is good enough for a rehab. It's fine for maintenance.
I'm definitely getting Leather CPR soon!

Yes! I vote to carry, enjoy & be proud of the work you’ve done to restore them! :)
