Hello all,
I have successfully dunked a few bags now with all your amazing help (can't thank you all enough) I haven't dunked a scarf Print with patent leather trim, any rules or issues with the trim?
Just want to be sure before I give it a cleaning. Thank you!

Thank you! Just double checking... last question, do I use leather conditioner on the patent as well? There is some non patent trim I know i can use it on but wasn't sure the cleaning method for patent. I greatly appreciate your help

Hmm I don't think so. I don't ever put anything on patent myself. Does anybody else?
No, you don't put anything on it. I've heard that if patent gets dull, you can use a tiny bit of vaseline to shine it back up, but if it looks okay, I would leave it alone.

You can use pledge spray polish on patent leather to give it a great shine. It's not greasy or sticky and it lasts. It may have a slight scent at first, but it's not bad and it fades.

Here's a patent leather bag that I recently rehabbed, an Ergo Pleated Framed Satchel. I used Pledge Wipes on the bag and it really brought back the shine nicely.

Conditioning will bring back some of the color.

Much cleaner! Impossible to get every mark off a bag that light though.

You might need more than one coat of conditioner to bring back the color. Wait 24 hrs between coats to allow it to soak in.

Leather CPR is my favourite. You can get it at Marshall's for $6.99 I think, or I most recently got it from Bed Bath and Beyond where you can use a coupon and get it for about $10 a bottle ( I think they are $15 and you can buy 2 and use a $10 off $30 coupon).
