Thank you all for your help, I've never dealt with patent before and the handles are sticky so pledge wipes it is, that bag looked amazing!
Grateful for everyone's help!

Thanks! When I dunked that kisslock Ergo patent bag I got scared because in some areas (mostly near stitching) the black patent turned kind of a cloudy gray color, but I wiped it down well and tried to massage and squeeze out any water and then stuffed it and let it dry - everything went back to the normal black color after it dried.

For those who use Leather Therapy....where do you purchase?
I have unsuccessfully tried to order the 36oz pump bottle from Amazon SIX times in the last few weeks. Four bottles have been undeliverable due to damage. The last 2 that have been delivered have been a leaky mess. Has anyone else suffered through this?

Ok...she is dry and has lost some colour...bit of a failure on my part...and the places where she was really grimy have gone very yellow looking...tried not to be too hard in cleaning...but second clean might have been too much...but its all a learning curve ...Im not going to do any more to her...quit while Im behind.

I would not say it is a failure on your part per se! Rather some bags , and I should say the condition of them, lend themselves to a better outcome. Removing dirt and stains can always be tricky and even more so the lighter the color. As has been said, there is no predicting rehabs. I make educatec guesses at best, on an outcome. I have learned my limitations by reading lots of posts here and by simply doing dunkings. Lol and one machine wash. . You will develop your comfort level for how much you want to spend on a bag for an outcome that may be less than desired.
It does help to have the deep conditioners. The thrifting around me for bags initially was more hit than miss, so I had to accept that I needed to buy online and pay shipping. If you cannot find quality condiditioners locally, you may have to bite that bullet for online shipping. There is no way around deep conditioning , especially for vintage leather.
Best of luck!

Really? I ordered the big pump of LT two years ago on A with no problem. I am about out of it and I was going to order a smaller size. Hmmm.

I get it at a local tack shop who also has a web site.... Dover Saddlery but I would try tack shops if you want to avoid shipping. I always pick it up so I haven't had that problem..I do keep the bottles in a large zip lock bag while I am using them because they do get drippy and messy but I love the stuff for certain leathers.

I haven't ordered leather therapy, but I had that problem with leather honey from Amazon, so I stopped ordering it.

I finally found a Court Bag in red but it has a pen mark on the outside front of the bag. I've read suggestions in this thread for removing ink that include a magic eraser, zit cream, alcohol, etc. I bought this bag because it its rich, deep red color and I'd rather have an ink mark on it than a blemish from trying to remove the ink. I love the bag regardless, it seemed to take me forever to find an affordable red Court Bag, so I don't want to ruin the bag. Should I just leave it alone?

I've ruined 2 bags trying to get rid of pen and the marks will never come out, imo, just leave it alone. It's such a beautiful bag.

Regarding the paint, acetone might work.

Regarding old oil stains...very tough to remove. On a fresh stain, cornstarch might work. You can try rubbing Dawn directly on the stain and massaging it in with your fingertips, then rinsing thoroughly in warm water several times. I haven't had success with either method, unfortunately.

Here's my collection of step-by-step posts on dunking. Everyone has developed their own methods, so if you have specific questions, search the thread or post your questions and someone may be able to offer specific tips and tricks.
