One of the decorative brass buttons fell off of a front pocket on a Poppy MO926-14570 I have. Is there anyplace I can get a replacement for it? Aside from the button, it's in great shape. No luck on Ebay. It was given to me, so going through Coach isn't an option. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Not really a rehab question, but you guys always have great ideas, so thought I'd give it a try! Thank you!
I had one replaced years ago by Coach. I don't think I needed to prove I bought it from them. However, now it is less likely they will still have stock. You could look on ebay for a really trashed Poppy and buy it for parts.

Thank you! A trashed Poppy is my best bet, I think, though I haven't found one on Ebay that I wouldn't feel guilty about scavenging from LOL

Considering buying Apple cleaner to try and get some stubborn marks out! Anyone have a bad experience with Apple cleaner? I did a search but couldn't find anything bad. I already conditioned with Blackrock actually, so do you think it would be unevenly colored if spot cleaned and re-conditioned?

They did ask if I have an account with them when I ask for a hang tag replacement, but I didn’t have to prove I bought the item from Coach. And I just got my tag in the mail today. Try your luck and just call customer service, you might just get lucky. There is no harm in asking.

Have you posted what you are spot cleaning ? I have not used Apple cleaner. But others may have had experience if you post a pic of the stain. I would hazard a guess that if you have used two conditioner already and the spot or area in question has not changed, light spot cleaning may not work. And more focused cleaning may remove some dye.

I have used the Apple conditioner and cleaner. It is more of a conditioner than a cleaner. I had better luck removing stains and dirt with light scrubbing in the bath. For the last bag I didn’t dunk, I used saddle soap with a wet toothbrush, form a lather with scrubbing the stain and wipe with a dry cloth.

There's a couple of dark spots that didn't go away with the vinegar wipe! I feel like with the vinegar wipe down (+ vinegar spot cleaning) and attempting to buff out the conditioner, I already am really nervous of dye loss. The trim is a brighter red but the body is kind of a darker richer red, which I thought was interesting. I did manage to get rid of the two water stains pretty well though!

I think I'm going to condition one more time with Apple (I've liked my past results on a newer vintage coach brief with Apple!) and give the leather a rest. Maybe one day I'll attempt to tackle the dark spots but I'm pretty satisfied with its glow from conditioning with blackrocks!

I wouldn't use Apple, I would use Leather CPR.
