Yes. You can pretreat first with a soft nail brush and your preferred cleaner. Then, dunk/soak/rinse. Stuff with some towels on the inside and press between towels on the outside to remove as much water as you can. Next, remove wet towels and replace with dry ones. Don’t over stuff. Use a clean nail/Suede brush to gently lift the nap of the suede before it totally dries.
How is the inside? Any ink stains on the fabric?
ETA: I’ve used Castile soap based on (sorry I can’t remember who now) recommendations here.
I like to pretreat and lightly scrub with soap first and then dunk and rinse in plain vinegar/water solution now. I was always having a hard time getting soap out and leather felt dry and never felt like I could apply enough conditioner.

Thank you so very much! couturexecThankfully, no ink stains! One of the bags has what appears to be lipstick stain, though...
I initially used a suede brush, but I believe it is too rough. It made the surface look worse. Im going to buy a nail brush and clean with castille soap.
BTW, do you know what style of bag this is?
Would you share the steps you used to rehab? Looks amazing!!Here are the before/after shots of my Taft rehab. I still need to shine up the brass.

Stunning! [emoji7]just want to share the bag that started it all. The station bag. The before photos are from the seller as I was so excited to work on it and didn’t take pictures.
I do what I learned to do here. I dunked it in lukewarm water and dish detergent for 20 minutes. I stuffed it with towels and then applied Leather CPR while still damp. i changed the towels after a bit for dry ones. After it was dry, i applied CPR again and buffed. Because the piping was worn, i mixed a bit of Dark Brown Edge Kote with a smidgen of Burnt Sienna acrylic paint and applied it there with a q-tip or fingers. I finished with Blackrocks.
Does anyone know where or if a hangtag can sit on a Taft? The straps are so thick.
