I have thrown more than a dozen lined Coach bags in the washing machine. Full disclosure, only one went sideways and that was after trying to wash it twice.
Consider how much you paid. How much is it worth? Will you ever carry or sell it in its current condition? Then you can decide what you have to lose.
Good point. No, I won't carry it in its current condition. So yeah, I truly have nothing to lose with this one. Thanks for the wisdom! I'm finding a good amount of that around here and it's great.

I've been thinking of posting this for days now. Seems like a good time now as ever. I've sent quite a few bags through the washing machine with great success. Feel free to chime in if you do something different or I leave something out.
I have an LG HE top loading washing machine. HE machines use very little water to wash, hence the "HE".
I have a "bulky/bedding" cycle that fills the entire tub up with water. This is what I use to limit the bag from friction while washing. Check your owners manual to find a similar setting. I use less than half the amount of detergent or Leather Therapy Laundry Detergent, but those bottles are so tiny for the price.
I set the machine for an extra rinse. I always turn off the spin cycle. Choose cool or lukewarm water. Mine has an "eco warm". Not really sure what that is, but it always sound like a good choice for my bags.
I machine wash all bags that are Signature Fabric or similar. I machine wash all Sonoma bags. I machine wash most bags with a lining unless I feel the leather is too thin. If I have two bags that are similar in color or size I will occasionally through both of them in at once. If a bag is exceptionally dirty it goes in alone.
I pretreat all fabric with my favorite pre-treatment, Shout Advanced Gel w/ Set-In Stain Scrubber.
When the cycle is done I leave the bag hanging over the side, opening side down and lining pulled out to drip dry into the washing machine tub. Once most of the water is out then I proceed with the rehab as normal.
Hope this helps anyone who is interested in trying a machine wash on a sturdy bag and wondering what to do.

Does anyone have tips on how to clean this suede bag? It belongs to my mother, and she’s been asking me, but i have no clue (and always thought suede was tricky to clean). Thank you in advance!

I’ve used a spray foam suede cleaner. You can find it in the shoe care section. Stinks bad! Scrub liberally with a plastic nail brush or similar. I’ve had okay results if it’s not too dirty.
I don’t know if that bag would bleed in a dunk. Wait for other opinions. Pretty sure I’ve seen that bag or similar here.

Kiwi suede cleaner didn't work for me at all. If I was feeling adventurous, I would wash it in the washing machine. Brush it with the nail brush before it is completely dry.

How do you protect suede from water and dirt please?

It's not a perfect solution but it helps IMO. I spray all my leather, suede, fabric, straw, etc. bags with:
Apple Brand Garde Rain & Stain Water Repellent
You can buy it on Amazon and other sites, see the link below.

During warm weather I take the bag outside to spray it. I give each bag 2 applications with a little time in between and after to dry. In the winter, I spray bags in the bathroom with the exhaust fan running.

The only bags that I don't spray with Rain Garde are patent leather. If the bag has patent leather trim I use a damp cloth with water to wipe off the trim after I have finished spraying.
