How are you going to rehab that Bleecker Shopper? I bought a black 11419 off of ebay with a filthy tattersall lining thinking I could flip it inside out and clean it. Go figure this is one of the bags where Coach attached the lining on the inside. Now I don't know how to clean it. I don't mind the wear and light stains but it stinks. I've been airing it out for MONTHS and I still can't carry the bag. It smells like it was stored in an old barn. Any thoughts?

I totally just sprayed the inside of the Bleecker down with Folex and let it sit for an hour and then into a bath. It looked like a chocolate cake party happened inside about 10 years ago. I’ve got it out of the bath now and stuffed with towels and drying. I suspect the inside will still show some stains but it’s a heck of a lot better, for sure. If mine had smelled, I would’ve put vinegar in the water. Luckily, that was one problem it didn’t have, lol!

Nice looking pile. I call twins on the mahogany brown Ranch peeking out (or is it a Stewardess?). And when I was at the check out of a Coach outlet a few weeks ago, the 20 something next to me had a distressed version of the camel bag (Janice's legacy?) on top.

That dark brown on the bottom left is my 3rd Stewardess; she’s in pretty decent shape but for sure needs a bath and moisturizer. The camel one (Plaza, maybe) was advertised as putty but I’m not sure...guess we’ll see what she ends up looking like after a dunk.

The bath didn't stain the lining? I'm not sure I'm brave enough for that. I figured I'd just keep airing it out and hopefully be able to carry it to my retirement party in 20 years...

Turn the entire bag inside out and then you can clean the lining with spray cleaner without getting the leather wet.

That's something I will most definitely try, thanks! Oh I hope it works, I love this bag!
I second the vinegar for getting rid of smells! My bag (smelled like tobacco) had lining that could be pulled out; so I was able to seal off the leather with plastic. I saturated the lining in 50/50 white vinegar/water several times and allowed it to spend a day in sunlight and wind each time. There is no odor. Amazing!

I have thrown more than a dozen lined Coach bags in the washing machine. Full disclosure, only one went sideways and that was after trying to wash it twice.
Consider how much you paid. How much is it worth? Will you ever carry or sell it in its current condition? Then you can decide what you have to lose.
