I’m so excited with the progress of my rehab! Here are before and after bath and drying one day. Still needs to dry more before conditioning.

I’ve been considering adding embroidered patches to add some fun....I’ve been drooling over the Dark Fairytale collection but don’t want to pay full price for a novelty bag...hmmmmm.....?

The patches at the outlet are cute and lot cheaper. I have this set.

I recently purchased a Coach Willis 9927 that has quite a bit of fading on it. I would love to rehab the bag back to it's original color. It's in the British Tan color. I don't have any pictures of the bag at the moment. Has anyone ever had to re-color the bag? Especially to match the British Tan shade? I saw online Leather Care Supply website they sell Leather Refinish Color Restorer Dye in the shade British Tan. Or can anyone recommend leather dye that would match? The only thing I've done to the bag is washed the bag and conditioned it with some Coach lotion. I'm a newbie so I'm not sure what I should be doing. Are there links of people who had gone through this process to rehab their Willis especially in this color shade. Any help would be much appreciated. Do I have to use the Leather Finish Preparer first? Will that strip off all the color off the leather? Help!
Several very experienced rehabers have replied and given very solid advice that I use myself. If you have followed all these directions and still feel the color is lacking, there is a line of quality, imo, products from Saphir made to restore faded leather and I have used one of their products to touch up the edges of a bag in what I think is a dead on match fot BT. I recommend following all the above suggestions first to get the leather in as best condition as possible. If you are not satisfied with your result, post back .

My latest 4065 Light Tote. I think I have 3 colors now. It still needs more conditioning, hardware clean up and buffing.
Before that, any ideas on securing this tear? Maybe leather glue? I have some Tear Mender, which I haven’t had the best luck with on other projects.
TIA.
ETA: Do you think this is BT?

Beautiful bag! I think that it is British Tan. You might take it to the shoe repair shop to see if they can stitch it up.

The link below shows before and after repair pics of a Patricia that had an ugly tear and a stain; I was going to try and fix it myself but I decided to take it the shore repair and he did a great job and the price wasn't bad. I bought the pay very cheap and I was glad that I had taken it to a professional for repair.

I don't believe they offerèd the Lightweights in BT. There have been posts on the colors offered. They offered neutrals close to BT with names like Chamois and Honey. I can look in my files later today.
And congrats, and twins! Or close it

I found a couple of catalog pics for the Light Tote, The first one is from 1989, the second one is from 1993. British Tan is a possibility, depending on the year your bag was made.

That’s sound advice.
Our local cobbler doesn’t speak much English, so it’s hard to communicate my needs. He does very utilitarian work. He gets the job done, but it’s not so pretty sometimes.
I wonder if I could do a ladder stitch by hand?

True, you need to find someone good or you might be better off trying to repair it yourself - or even pass on buying a seriously damaged bag - there have been times when I should have done that!

Exactly. Either it wasn’t shown or I was too hasty. Regardless, I paid too much, since I haven’t seen any lately listed as 4065. (I stopped just scrolling eBay looking for bags and pretty much only use saved searches.)
