Pretty happy with my Madison satchel...there’s still a hint of the water stain on one side, but you have to look for it. Not sure why it wouldn’t come out on that side? She’s a beautiful bag. Glad I could give her a second chance![]()

OMG it showed up yesterday and it looks great. Just a lot of verdigris around the turnlock pieces and general wear and tear, but the piping and the strap are in great condition. I'm so excited to work on this bag after Thanksgiving.
I think regular glove tanned bags are easier to rehab than Sonomas. I would bathe it and condition as normal, but avoid any conditioners that have a tendency to darken. Sometimes stains show up that you didn't see before, but I think they fade away again.Hello Rehabbers!
Hope everyone's doing OK!
Haven't done any rehabbing for awhile & have been missing it and the folks on this forum.
I promised my sister-in-law that I'd try to clean up her almost-vintage Ergo bag.
The color is Marigold, and it has some dirt, lighter spots and wear throughout the outside - can barely see it in the pic.
I've had experience with Sonomas mostly, and have soaked bags and used leather therapy, CPR and Backrock. But some of the lighter colored bags I've rehabbed came out looking a bit worse - weird stains, color loss etc emerged.
Since it's not my bag and is a light color I'm feeling less confident and am worried I'll make it look worse!! I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.
TIA!

I've never had a lined ergo. Is the lining the same as in Sonomas? It might bleed. Blackrocks will darken. CPR probably won't.Thanks so much whateve!
Do you think CPR folowed by black rock will darken?
Also - does the lining in the Ergo bleed?
Thanks whateveI've never had a lined ergo. Is the lining the same as in Sonomas? It might bleed. Blackrocks will darken. CPR probably won't.
You're welcome! What is the style number? I can't remember an ergo with lining. Thanks whateve
The lining is black & feels like a similar material as the sonomas.
I can pull it out - I'll test it for colorfastness before I decide to dunk.
Thanks again!
It's a 9047 made in 1998.You're welcome! What is the style number? I can't remember an ergo with lining.
I found it! It was called an ergo compartment bucket. By the way, the color was just called yellow. It's a 9047 made in 1998.
Hmmmm, couldn't find that number in my catalogs just now, looking under Ergo....
Do you know what it is?
I didn't authenticate it as she said she bought it new at Coach
