Looks great!
I have been curious about the Renapur. If you don't mind me asking, how does this compare to other moisturizing products?
Hi,
I’m not an expert so this is just my experience. I have Coach leather moisturiser and it is like a cream, but Renapur comes in a tub and is textured like wax. It is solid and smells of honey, and it comes with an applicator sponge. I only use it on firm, smooth leathers, so perfect for glovetanned leather. It’s a little messy to apply because it is waxy - I leave it and it seems to soak in over time then I buff the leather. For vintage glovetanned leather this makes it look like new because the moisture seems to get deep into the leather and it blends in any scuffs.
It does deepen the colour though so again I choose wisely whether to apply it. For the mahogany Willis this darkening was what I wanted - it looks like melted dark chocolate!
I believe it also adds waterproofing.

Thank you. I have been using Blackrock's, and I love how it makes the leather 'glow', but I don't love the smell. It seems to linger in my closet. I might give the Renapur a go.

I am seeing several of these Mocha distressed (what appears to be , na) Market Totes this week! They are my current Achilles heel! I have one that rehabbed nicely. I am seeing this one and it crying out *give me an app of Obenauf’s * lol. So someone please buy it and save me from these ideas of rehabbing it and then selling it or gifting it!

I noticed a bunch of those this week too. I wonder what it is that certain bags seem to pop up in waves. A while ago there were a ton of City Spectators and I thought "No, I'll wait." And now it's been so long since any have popped up.

When they come in waves i have noticed it does show that there are similar bags priced all over the map. A month ago I swear there were Sling bags in every color including green, blue and purple. I could not believe a purple one surfaced. Those colors were not cheap! There were a few reasonable bags in Black, brown , BT. I have one in BT. I really had to think of when and how I would use it. So for now I am content with one. For now. Lol there have also been several Envelope briefs lately too. I think I may be picking one of those up in the next wave.

So, I've attempted to rehab a bag from the early eighties - nothing unusual, water + leather therapy. The bag looks great, but the problem is, that beautiful wine color runs. If I rub it with a cloth or paper towel, the color transfers. The bag was very dirty when I got it, kind of caked on, so I did not examine it too closely and dunked it straight into the water. I am wondering if someone tried to re-color the bag at some point. The inside leather pocket is fine, the color doesn't rub off there.

I am satisfied with how the bag looks like now. If I could lock in the color somehow, I'd be OK. Alternatively, how do I strip whatever has been painted on? Thanks in advance.

I've rehabbed a few burgundy bags from that era. The dye does seem to bleed in the bath water more than other colors. However, once it's dry, the bag shouldn't transfer color.

You could try Blackrock Leather'nRich, apply lightly, wipe with paper towel, let soak in overnight, buff with horsehair brush. Blackrock's waxy ingredients should help seal the leather. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times. Good luck!

Trying that now. If it doesn't work, maybe some waterproofing stuff as the last resort? Unfortunately it was rubbing off when dry. Not too much, but I wouldn't want to wear it with anything other than a black t-shirt.
