How would you fix this? Thought I was all done with rehabbing this Helena's Legacy but found a "tear" in the piping as I was buffing. Not sure it's clear in the picture. Would you glue this (what kind of glue would you use?) or is there something else I should do? thanks-

I can't tell, is the torn flap missing or is it still there? If you still have the piece I would glue it with Fabric Fusion. Use a toothpick to apply a small amount and clean off the excess quickly.

If the piece is missing then try touching up with acrylic paint. You could also put a little acrylic paint along the edging on the zipper pull and hangtag.

Thank you!
Yes, the piece is still there. It may be "stretched" a bit. Will give Fabric fusion a try. And use a little acrylic and conditioner as suggested.

I usually take the hangtag with me to the hobby store (don't lose it!) to help me match paint colors - but black is easy. Just try not to get a really shiny black.

I was able to get rid of smoke smell by adding a cup of cleaning vinegar in the bath. It lessened the smell in the first soak and still smelled after rinsing so I did it again and it worked!

This has worked for me as well. After a couple of baths, I filled a clean sock with baking soda and worked it into the biggest compartment of the offensive wallet. I pointed a small fan directly blowing at the wallet. It took a day of this, but the smoke smell finally went away.

There is a stained and dirty Green Medium Bleecker Duffle 11422 on Mercari for $25 BIN plus $4 shipping.

It's had a tough life but it might rehab well, and I love that tattersall lining! The listing says smoke and pet free home, see link below:

I have one of those in a lemony yellow that's a bit of a mess. I don't know how to fix it. The color is wearing off it in parts.

Well somebody got it because it has sold already, I hope it goes to a good home!

Yes I was also going to say what whateve said. If you have Obenaufs it's especially good at darkening faded edges and evening out the color (once it's sunk in a bit). I used it on my Willis and it really enriched the color as you can see.

ETA Obenauf's oil, not the LP, not sure how that works. I like the oil myself.

UPDATE:
so I got the oil, although despite being in a plastic bag, it leaked all over the padded envelope it was mailed in. But I called Amazon and they gave me a refund since a good portion of the bottle was gone.

Put it on the bag, but the color is so far gone, it did very little. Once it sunk it, you could still see where the color was completely gone. So i got the dye out. Really was impressed with how well it covered and how quickly it dried. Of course once i held it up at the window during daylight i can see some areas i need to go over again, and its a darker navy than I'd like, BUT considering i only paid about $13 for it, I'm happy with it.

So will work on it this weekend, during the day, and then condition and then it should be ready to go.

DBF impulse bought this coach briefcase for $20 on eBay. We're looking forward to rehabbing it together. It's still being shipped so these are the listing pictures, but I was just wondering if there was anything in particular anyone could recommend for these pock mark-esque scratches. Leather cement? I didn't see anything similar in the last 10 pages!

DBF is also hoping to remove the oil stains(?), but I'm guessing I could find that answer somewhere in the thread! Thanks in advance :flowers::flowers::flowers:

There isn't a lot you can do for those scratches. Bathing may help with the stains but probably won't remove them completely. I would wait until it is completely rehabbed before addressing those scratches. You might be able to glue them down with leather cement, or very lightly sand and finish with leather refinisher.

Hello ladies!
Hoping you have an idea of what this could be and what to do about it. (Rehab bag I got, not original owner)

There was a small stain on the pocket of this liner (dark green stripe), so I decided to use a bit of Coach Fabric Cleaner but didn't help. So I used the LA Awesome cleaner on it and when wet all over, these dots started to appear, like they were inside between the two layers of fabric, none were visible before I got it wet so I thought once dry again they would go away, but have not, they are more noticeable than the picture shows :confused1:

Please help, thanks in advance.
