Thanks! It's been just CRAZY at my local Goodwills this summer...since the 4th of July, I've
found TWELVE bags and 1 wristlet...all under $15!!! The color range is also amazing - red, green (3 different shades!), bone, navy and black! Next up, authenticated yesterday is a BLUE Paris Bag, also Lightweight (still drying) for $9.99 (http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-236.html#post25100621)! YIKES - keep 'em comin'!!!

You're so lucky! (and am I jealous) Congrats...

It's still a bit too soon to describe the blue my Paris bag will be...I start conditioning with Leather CPR yesterday while she was still a little damp, so she's darker than I know she'll end up. Bluer than navy for sure.

And speaking of two-tone...yesterday I started working on my daypack...you authenticated it here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-123.html#post24892105. She turned completely black in the bath (lots of black in the water), yet is drying two-tone again. Don't know what's up with this! The surface of the leather isn't worn off, just a color difference. We'll see what happens with Leather CPR and Blackrocks. If she stays two-tone it's fine with me...pretty cool actually :)

Amazing, huh? I'm thinking someone's Granny left a wonderful collection of well-cared-for bags to someone who didn't know what they were...too many good old bags too close together to be random donations. I had never seen one before, but trusted my instincts, especially the older Leatherware creed, and couldn't be happier. I'd love to see yours! She's a lot bigger than bags I usually carry, but I'll definitely be wearing this one, just as soon as she's finished.

I'll show some photos of what I have. My blue ones are in such great condition, so I can pretty much tell what color it is "supposed" to be, and as far as I know, the Paris was probably only made in 1989. I have a few catalog samples from around that period and there's no mention of from 1990 on that I can tell. The last page I'll show here has what I believe is the blue color. I am sure I am missing some catalogs here and there tho'. It came in the standard lightweight line "blue" as described in catalog pages. I have 3 catalog pages I can show you actually.

here's an old photo I took, showing only one of my 2 navy bags. They were fairly similar in condition tho'. The blue needs some conditioner, but the tan was about perfect!!

Does anyone have tips on how to remove tough stains? This bag was pretty yucky.

You can really see it on the blue

I used a bit of baking soda with no success.

Has anyone ever tried awesome cleaner? I've cleaned several things with it. I haven't tried alcohol, completely forgot about it until now.

A lot of us have had good results with Soilove. You can use almost any cleaner that is safe for fabric. I've used Amodex for ink.

Thanks...it's been a crazy shopping summer.

Thanks soooo much for the catalog pics and photo of your Paris bags! My Paris bag is ready for Blackrocks today and I think will end up just a bit darker than yours...sort of what I'd call "dark denim." I'm gonna love this bag!

I still have no idea why this very early navy Basic Bag #9455 was marked “as is” and priced at $7.99 at Goodwill, but I did a happy dance when I found her! Before pics are here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-224.html#post25066664. The only issues I could see was a little color loss on the botom piping.

Rehabs don’t get any easier than this one...brush out the inside, warm Dawn bath, rinse, stuff, condition with Leather CPR 2X, finish with Blackrocks 2X (took care of the piping), clean brass with Tarni-shield and buff leather with horsehair blend brush.

I have 2 other “younger” Basic Bags, one red (bought in 2007) and one black (don’t remember when I got this one) or so I thought. Turns out it’s navy too...so dark, the only way you can tell is to put it next to a black bag!

Here's my first one!

I bought this yellow card case recently. It had black prints? I guess.. on the front and back. I bought it anyways because it was the last (and I LOVE yellow).

The SA tried to "help" me get it cleaned up, but barely did so. I say help in quotes because she cleaned it for 30s before telling me she can't do anything. She couldn't get it off with the Coach cleaner :(

Anyways, I love this card holder! They did get another shipment but the black dirt/oil print was worst than mine!

TIA :)

Yes, my purple one (which I bought back in december) also needs rehab! hehe.. but one at a time *calms down*
BTW, I'm obsessed with card holders! They are soooo practical!

BUMP :coolio:
Someone please help me get this dirt off this card case. I heard it's not good to wipe leather with water... but what kind of cleaner do you recommend?

I heard of apple conditioner, but that's to moisturize... and dawn dish soap is to clean older leather. so... what do I use for newer leathers?

I pretty new rehabbing but I've been finding Leather CPR to very nice for Coach's newer and vintage leather. I bought mine at Amazon. I think the CPR stands for clean, protect, repair? Use it per directions....Nice card case, great to keep the old debit card handy, LOL.

Ok it looks like I can only get Soilove online.

I soaked the bag in awesome and the stains went away a lot. I sprayed if again to soak while at work so I have no idea what it looks like yet!! Awesome seems to be doing the trick!!

You can get soilove at the chain 99 cent only store :)

I've seen them at multiple private 99 cent store too
