Fantastic job! It looks brand new. Well done.

Thanks!

Wow this is a beauty!! Love it!!

One of the ways I justified spending the money on this is that I've been eyeballing the gorgeous bag in your avatar on the FOS-I hope this lil bohoish bag will keep me from taking the plunge. I truly have enough duffles, at least I spent less money on this one?

Cool bag...Soilove worked for me also on a tan suede bag...Great job!

I used Shout! on my last suede bag rehab, not sure which worked better because the dirt could have been different, but the Soilove seemed to get it clean with fewer washings.

Amazing! It's hard to believe that it is the same bag!

Thanks! I don't know if you caught that I used fabric softener in the final rinse and the bag is soffft. I think when you tried the emu oil on your brown bag I mentioned that I had my blue suede bag in my lap with the emu oil about a week before and chickened out, because I was afraid I couldn't get an even application.

Not sure that the Downy was the reason this suede came out so nice, just throwing the data out there for y'all to think about.

I came across this Coach Bonnie Cashin wallpaper on the wayback machine if anyone is interested, here's the link:

And this is CUUUUTE! Maybe it's time to switch out the rock star I have on my laptop at home.

Thanks!

LOL! And I have been looking at your duffle because mine (the boho from my avatar) is still safely tucked away in its box waiting for a special occasion - it's my reward for a project I am completing mid August, and I'm not allowed unboxing it before :smile1:.
Meanwhile I am lusting over duffle pics in the forum :roflmfao:\

Hi,

What do you ladies use to condition pebbled leather? I'm sure I've read on this thread that you can't use the same products that are used on regular leather but I can't remember what can be used. Does anyone know? I'm hoping I can find something to remove/tone down some scuff marks.

Thanks!

Generally you want to use a thin conditioner because a thick one might leave residue in the cracks. I have used Lexol and Bicks. I have also used Blackrocks on pebbled leather. It works really well with scuff marks. You put it on sparingly and wipe with a paper towel.

I need to stay off the 'bay. I just bought a Bleecker Pocket Hobo that I couldn't resist. I'm done, really!
I've been really bad the last few days. Tonight I noticed that no one was bidding on auctions that were ending so I went a little crazy. I've got 5 projects on their way to me!

I want to see your Bleecker!

Thanks, whateve. So is the issue with pebbled leather just that thicker products might leave residue? I thought I read somewhere that some products would make it lose it's pebbled finish and would make it smooth.

I don't think there is a product that can make leather lose its pebbled finish. If you find one, let me know.

I've been on such a duffle binge lately! You have more willpower than I do, packing away the new bag but it will be just that much more fun when you get to carry it.

I have been able to talk myself out of the Boho duffle mostly by reminding myself that I have a ton of them, and I just bought the grey Rory, so I already have a new grey bag...it's working. I know it's unlikely but if I ran across one of the Anna Sui duffles for a low enough price there is nothing that would stop me!

I have to stop, I just did some major car repairs and I need to pay those off. I'll post the Bleecker in the secondhand thread when it shows up, I don't think it will need any rehabbing.

I read these two threads ALL the time but haven't been commenting lately as I'm almost always on my phone...I enjoy seeing everyones rehab accomplishments and second hand steals!

Hi everyone. This is my new zoe that I got but she had a scratch on her not visible on pictures when I bought her! There is also some wear on the corners. The problem is not with that it's scratched because I know that's going to happen but it looks green compared to the rest of the bag! It's a slate blue bag. I don't know how to try and fix this. I thought about dying it with tarrago shoe polish in #104 (same color as the bag) but now I'm thinking this may not work because the spot looks darker? I like the color of the bag, but should I try a darker blue? Not a real dark blue but something medium and bright? Would that help cover this up? What do you recommend? I am really wanting to wear her lol!

Here is a picture of the scratch. Bottom left corner. Harder to see in the pics. Definately easy to see in person though. (sorry for the caps - I don't know what I did, lol)
