Hi everyone. This is my new zoe that I got but she had a scratch on her not visible on pictures when I bought her! There is also some wear on the corners. The problem is not with that it's scratched because I know that's going to happen but it looks green compared to the rest of the bag! It's a slate blue bag. I don't know how to try and fix this. I thought about dying it with tarrago shoe polish in #104 (same color as the bag) but now I'm thinking this may not work because the spot looks darker? I like the color of the bag, but should I try a darker blue? Not a real dark blue but something medium and bright? Would that help cover this up? What do you recommend? I am really wanting to wear her lol!
I can't see the scratch that well because the picture is so small. Do you think it looks green because it picked up some color from whatever scratched it? First I would try cleaning it. You can use blackrocks on the corners. You might be able to find an acrylic craft paint that is the right color to touch up the scratch. Dyeing it seems very drastic.

If you bought this on ebay, you could open a dispute for item not as described and get your money back.

New to me bronze Maggie! Looks great overall

Would black rocks protect it? As much as I hate to admit it this is my first real leather purse and I want to keep her looking beautiful :)
Blackrocks would be perfect for this. It will hide the wear and protect it at the same time. You'll have to reapply it periodically. Just be gentle when you wipe it off to make sure no color is removed.

Thanks whateve :) So just a thin coat and gently wipe? And can I get black rocks at Wal-Mart? Or is there something pretty similar I can get there?
I don't think you can buy it at Walmart. I get mine on ebay. You put it on very sparingly with your fingers, then wipe with a paper towel. I don't there is any substitute you can get at Walmart. If you have a horse tack shop near you, they might have something that would work.

OK experts, I have 2 questions:

1) I bought a Molly on Ebay, and it has a small ink mark on the outside leather on the back. Is there any way to get ink off of Legacy leather?

2) I also bought a Sophia on Ebay (it was a busy week, what can I say!) and the inside lining has some surface dirt. What can it be cleaned with? Would baby wipes work?

OK, I have a 3rd question:

And what on earth is blackrocks???

Thanks whateve! There are lots of farm stores around here! I am not a very patient online shopper lol!

Awesome rehab ladies...I have a question for you. I'm determined to reduce the number of bags just sitting in my closet, so today I brought out my very first designer bag...an All Weather Leather Dooney & Bourke Norfolk Satchel in British Tan. She still looks great except for a couple of "rubbed off" areas on corners and hard edges. I went to the DB forum but their rehab and rescue thread never really took off and no one had any suggestions.

Here's a couple of pics...tell me what you think? And thank you.

Dooney leather is different from Coach leather. I would probably use craft paint to touch up the part on the pebbled leather. I don't know what you could do for the bottom. It looks like it could use some cleaning.

Thanks Whateve....I don't think I'm good enough to attempt that. But I appreciate the suggestion.
