So, I have finished my first rehab project and let me introduce Miss Whitney Satchel:

Her main issues were being out of shape and some wear on corners and handles. I gave her nice long baths and massaged 2 rounds with Apple Quard and 2 with Blackrock, touched up with gloss acrylic paint and puffed. I am quite pleased with my first attempt. Maybe I could reshaped her even better. It was missing the hang tag and all tough I ordered it already over 3 weeks ago, it hasn't arrived yet :( , so I used one Coach key fob instead and they fit together very well, I think.
Looks fantastic!

I guess I am lucky where I live (about 10 miles south of Boston)....I do find Coach bags - Savers (although overpriced many times), a bunch of Goodwills and I discovered a small chain, Boomerangs that tends to have a lot of Mercer bags for some reason...bought 4 in one month! I have also found some really cool old vintage bags with labels I didn't know...Furla pink leather cosmetic case that my daughter fell in love with so I washed and conditioned it and gave it to her..beautiful, strong leather that took a scrubbing!

I am finding a few made in Italy bags which I am loving....it conjures up quality, romance, style...anyone hear of these names? LaMarthe...Desmo...Terranova....Italian bags I picked up the past few weeks...love to think about who wore them and where? So fun!
I love Furla. and if I come across awesome vintage and/or newer bags that scream quality, made in Italy, spain, colombia , brazil, I just BUY. I am an equal opportunity well-made purse purchaser!!!

so SOOOO pretty!!!

daaayuummmn. I have this exact same bag in black..(NYC.) If only I could fix its zipper :(
and it kinda bugs me when Bonnie's name gets tossed onto stuff when technically only stuff that is signature Bonnie should command that kind of attention.
And then this green one only sold for $46. It may not be as old but the color is rarer.

Maybe you start adding "Bonnie" to your listings!

me, too Jessi (or I am now)...today when thrifting I came across a beautiful, lucious black leather Furla briefcase/tote - good size....30 dollars at Goodwill...except it had a hole in the bottom I could put my thumb thru! Not going there. I did find another Italian bag...beautiful tan/red shoulder bag..Giannotti and I found an old Mark Cross bag (probably 90's), a Koret bag (to die for reminds me of a Gracie), an old Pierre Cardin burgundy suede and leather wallet and another Furla cosmetic case that looks brand new (of coourse my daughter NEEDS that one too for all of her stuff! I've gotta stop ..... ;)).....

Beautiful job - such a nice bag. It is so satisfying when you see that your hard work pays off!!

I am also a big fan of Furla and Italian leather bags. The Shop Housing Works site (a charitable auction site in NYC) recently acquired a lot of NWT and dustbag Furla items and now they have reduced some for clearance. Here is the link, select "Handbags" and then search by "Name" to find the Furla items:
