The leather looks yummy and the inside is divine. Since the company is still in business, I would contact them and see if they can recommend someone in your area to repair it, or can you send it to them for repair?
I will on Monday...they listed NY and NJ that cover the US.....I attached a close up of the interior...it has french writing that says Dupont Peer throughout it.. not sure if "Peer" was the kine of briefcases? a mystery......really beautiful...

I was just checking them out online and you got yourself a real gem there! Very lux company, and has been in business a long time.

Has anyone tried rehabbing one of the new legacy duffles? I know there have been issues with corner wear on them. I see enough of them on ebay and I am tempted to get one, and see how they respond to blackrocks. Any thoughts?
I have used Blackrock on my legacy bags. I used it on my signature Rory for protection. And, there was a little color loss on my duffle and my Candace. So, I rubbed just a dab on the corners and they are good as new.:D

Hi ladies! I am in the process of washing a very, very dirty Sheridan Roswel Satchel (gathered up my nerve after reading Katev's post about cleaning the pebbled Sheridan and Italian made bags TWICE;)). I wanted to share that I used a new to me product http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GHTHM4/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1...a few weeks ago, I googled cleaning ink here at the Purse Forum (can't remember what thread though - wasn't this one I don't think) and someone suggested a product called IloveSoil....well I couldn't find that exact product but I found this at Amazon and it is incredible...it literally lifted up what looked like a teaspoon full of ink out of the lining without even scrubbing....I quickly blotted it with a paper towel:

I'm not sure how it will work on leather yet, but I bravely tried a little of it on my RED Patrica Legacy this morning, which, thankfully did not have big blots of ink like the Roswel did, more like thin, lines of ink and theylook gone now but it is still wet so we will see when it dries.....so far, I am very happy with this product.

Hi, new also. A bunch of vintage coach bags,NYC mostly. I DO need to get to work on some but am afraid of some products. Has anyone heard of REJUVENATOR OIL ?? Supposedly has no parrafin or petroleum distillates,
haven't heard of it. As long as it isn't full of silicone, etc. it's probably fine..test a little area first. The more new things we are all willing to try and report back on, the more options for our arsenal! :p

That's the stuff Lazlo recommends in the secondhand thread! She finds it at the $ Store for 99 cents! I have to get some! I can't wait to hear about your bag, the Dupont, I am so excited for you!

Report back on how well it worked on leather. There are all sorts of bargains I could buy if I could just clean ink off of leather!

Yes, please let us know! I just won a purse on ebay, have not received yet, which has a lot of little ink lines inside. I was reading a thread on here, but not sure if it was the COACH thread, that said to first try hydrogen peroxide, 2nd, nail polish remover and then thirdly, I forgot, I cannot find the thread, but I tried 1 and 2 and they did not work on another purse that I have that also has ink lines on it. I saw on Amazon that there is something called Carbona, and there is different formulas. They have one for oil removal, one for ketchup, another for lipstick etc. They have one for ink, which I'm gonna try and purchase. Has anybody tried Carbona before?

Whateve - I think the same thing as I'm trolling Ebay!! OKay, I just checked my Red PL bag which has been drying for 24 hours. Thankfully, the pen marks were on the inside pocket (udner the big flap), bu there were a lot of them....I now only see a few very faint ones.....I will take pics when it is completely dry and conditioned, etc.

haven't tried Carbona but if you do, let us know how that works...so far, this stuff seems like it's working....will let you all know when the bag is fully dry.
