I'm back again for help with the stewardess I've been working on since Oct 13!
It has had multiple problems from the start:

After that post, I bathed again for two whole days, conditioned and repaired the split leather. She still is not smooth leather on the flap, back and sides. The front under the flap is smooth as is the bottom. It's hard to describe but it's got the feel of felt rather than smooth or suede. She also has another problem I can't figure out. She is heavy like rubber. If I push on the leather on one side, it turns really light where you press and you can see the imprint on the other side that looks waxy.
I left her sit for a week and that still remained. So I bathed her again and this time put nothing on her, no conditioner or moisturizer because I've felt all along that there was some sort of grease or heavy oil in the leather.
After sitting two more weeks she was still the same so I soaked her in Stanley concentrated degreaser for a day. There was oily residue floating on the water and of course blue bleeding in the water. (This bag has bled more colors than a peacock has!)
The next day I bathed her in a warm bath with dawn. She still bled some but much lighter blue. I rinsed well and stuffed her to dry. The leather was very dry so I used Leather Therapy. I waited a day and used it once more.
The bag is just like she was before - very heavy, feels like rubber and has that same problem with the waxy appearance where pressed.
Any ideas as to what to do from here!
Here are pictures so you can see what I'm talking about:
