I'm pretty sure someone here succesfully returned a Stewardess to Coach to have its feet repaired or replaced. Can't remember who it was but that might be an option.

Thank you ledobe, I wouldn't have thought of sending it in to Coach. Maybe whoever it was will come on and give details about that.

I cannot believe that ANYONE could ever let a bag get to this point. OMG! Just plain cruel. There should be "handbag police" ............

..........too bad:rtr:

Yikes! Someone should call Purse Protective Services - this person is an unfit purse parent!

It looks disgusting. Like the hard film that forms on some brands of makup, I would love to see someone restore nubuck leather though.

You think that's bad, look at what someone did to this poor Italian Carlyle bag "needs some TLC" indeed!

I finally got my Stewardess bag today. I'm amazed how much verdigris is around and under the hardware. It gives "going green" a whole new meaning! I've removed the closures but what can be done about the green i know is under the feet? I don't see any way to remove them to clean under them. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I can't think of anything you could do about the feet except send it to coach or maybe ask a cobbler for an opinion.

Angelairia sent her stewardess in to coach and they replaced the gromets on the strap, see link below. I remember a discussion about replacing missing feet on a stewardess but I don't remember the outcome. Since they still make and sell the original stewardess bag they may be able to fix the feet but they will charge a $20 fee, but it may be worth it. If you got it on ebay, don't mention that if you send it to coach, they hate ebay and bonz!

I'm thinking about sending her to Coach and seeing if they will do anything. Hopefully they will be able to do something. We have no cobblers here so that takes that option away! :-(

Thanks katev, I'll go read that post and also remember about the origin of the bag for Coach. ;-) Thanks for all the help.

No local shoe repair shops in your area?

Yikes......look like it's been in a wreck. Did you purchase this with the idea of a rehab challenge ?? You're a brave one for sure

I didn't purchase it! It is still up for auction with zero bids. I once rehabbed a black carlyle that was in rough shape (link below) but it wasn't as bad off as this poor bag: http://www.ebay.com/itm/160898163862?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I was wondering if the lining could be glued in? But it appears to have tears and other problems as well. I'm not looking for a challenge quite this big! But if somebody really wants an italian coach and can get it at a cheap price, maybe an adventurous rehabber will take it on!

None that I've found. There is one in OK in a town where I go every few months so maybe I can wait till my next trip and go take it there. I've never lived in an area so limited as here. :-( I even have to go 40 miles one way to send off a ups package. I love living in the country but sometimes it lacks a lot of benefits I wish we had. :-/

Wow, you really are remote! But I bet that has a lot of nice features too!

Hello Ladies! I was hoping for some feedback on the long term results of using acrylic paint for touch up. I have a black Janice I touched up a month ago. Today I was spot cleaning with Lexol and the paint started coming off onto the rag. I let it dry, applied Blackrocks to the area, let that dry. When I rubbed with a rag at that point, no black came off onto the rag, but this has me concerned what will happen if a purse touched up with acrylic gets wet while out in the rain briefly. Will it run and get on your clothes? I would love to hear feedback from those that have carried touch up bags for a length of time. Any bad experiences?

It is nice and quiet. The deer, rabbits and multitudes of wildlife are entertaining but you can't plant flowers or shrubs because they eat everything. Even ate the flowers out of a pot on my patio. We never get fruit from our trees because they get it before it's even ripe. But it's worth it! We are actually in the "city" limits!!!! A very tiny town of 350 that has the city limit signs 5 miles out just for tax income! Lol! The closest town that has a express Walmart is 10 miles away, there is one grocery store there. Then it's 40 miles to a bigger town with a tiny mall and super Walmart - well one that sells groceries anyhow! Lol! We have to go 100 miles to the city where you still can't find everything but it's better than what we have here! :-)
