I was going to post them to the authentication thread, but then I saw yours. That was weird. Then as I downsized my pics they got worse and worse. I feel pretty confident about this bag now and I'll post after I clean it up. I was searching and searching on the net for a pic of this bag and then found it here and now! I really can't get over the bizarre coincidence! In one way I thought it was older (kiss lock - - Cashin? and metal zipper) but newer because of the sewn in tag. So it was a real puzzle to me.

I think the words "retro" and "anniversary" are clues for to this mystery. I feel confident that the design is "cashin-inspired"!

Now the question is: Do you carry her or do you put her in glass case on display? If she were mine, I think I would have to choose the later for this unique beauty! ;-)

I won't carry her often but I will carry her! She is going to look great with my black suit that has deep yellow trim!

I can't believe I did this. I bought a basic bag on ebay, checked it over, and rehabbed it. Today, I read the creed more closely. It says "this is a Coach bean bag"! I can't believe I didn't see it before. It just shows that even when we think we know what we are doing, some of the fakes can be very convincing.

Aww that stinks! I am afraid I will do that one of these times too, not that I know that much but sometimes I take a chance and bid when there isn't time to have the bag authenticated.

Hmmm - going thru my neighborhood anytime all dressed up and with that adorable bag???? LOL!!! Sounds like a great outfit to go with a gorgeous bag! Glad you will enjoy her. :-)

Here's another easy rehab! Beenburned and Whateve helped me to identify it as Bleecker Signature Wristlet 40894, a boutique wristlet that sold for $48 in circa 2007. I got it at Savers for a mere $1.75!

I had considered dunking it but Whateve told me about "an elusive spot problem" that she had with her very similar wristlet, so I decided to leave it alone since it was in such good shape.

There was one small spot on the front that I treated with jacquard fabric cleaner and then I wiped it down inside and out with Lysol wipes and let it dry. Then I just put some lexol conditioner on the leather trim and rubbed the hardware with a soft cloth. Pretty easy!

I'm thinking that the color was called "Coal" because I found this picture of the same wristlet in khaki sig with Coal trim!

I couldn't resist taking a picture of it with my Golden Yellow, Gold-Plated Lindy bag! I think they look good together! (Total investment for both items: $29.75 plus tax!)

Here are the AT pics of the wristlet, it didn't need much work at all!

I think it might be a good bag for going out to dinner or a movie, because of its small size. I love the color and I think it will go with all my earth tones, especially olive green. And it's a crossbody!

Mine is drying now, and the ring didn't come out. I hope conditioner will help it.

BTW, I passed up a black city bag at Savers yesterday. It was $40, but afterwards I realized I would have gotten 25% off. Maybe it'll still be there Monday. If it had been brown or tan I would have bought it in a New York minute!

Oooooo, they do look good together. I'll try to quit drooling over your Lindy bag now. . . . .

Ouch! I've always thought Basic Bags would be great to keep in my luggage to help keep things organized. I have two and will probably end up doing something like this with one of them.

I finished rehabbing my citron kisslock mystery bag and I have posted pics at the link below along with an appeal to TPFers to help me identify this bag.

It was in great shape, just a little dirty and misshapen as you can see in this pic. It had a slight musty smell but not bad, I am sure that this bag was taken care of over the years. I decided to dunk her to reshape and remove the smell and that worked fine. They just a couple of applications of leather cpr - I didn't even have to polish the hardware!

The AT before pics are at the link below:

I love easy rehabs!

It comes in Pink? I'm on a quest! Congrats on your find, that is such a cute bag.

I'm drooling too, feel free to join me!

I can't believe that I lucked into that bag! I had finished checking the racks at Savers and I wasn't too excited. Then I went up to the front counter where they keep the "expensive bags" (including a fake Taft!) I had asked to see their other, more typical-looking vintage coach bags and I wasn't too impressed with the selection and the pricing. The yellow bag was almost completely hidden and I wasn't sure what it was so I asked to see it too. I didn't even think it was coach, but it was such an unusal color that it got me interested.

As soon as I had it in my hands I knew that it was special. The $40 price was a bit off-putting but I just happened to have a 30% off coupon with me - so she came home with me for the bargain price of $28! A very lucky day!

I meant to add that this is the third of my eBay purchased City bags. This one didn't need much rehabbing, just a bath, polished hardware and conditioning. It didn't come with a hang tag either so I put a brown tag I have on it. It doesn't really match so I will have to order one.
