We have GOT to find a way to show these to the original owners! Before I found TPF and specifically, Rehab & Rescue.....I had no idea a bag could be resurrected like this! I think I may have even applied shoe polish to one or two black bags over the years. Lordbucko, You done good! It is obvious the bag was well-loved! Now it can be loved and worn again!!! Too Cool!;)

I just had a vintage Avenue Bag authenticated on the AT board. A great bargain except the SpringLock no longer holds tight. I've never had a Coach with a springlock and don't know exactly how they work but I'm assuming there is probably an internal spring which is now missing on this little darling.

Does anyone have any idea how, where or if I can get the mechanism repaired or replaced? I absolutely LOVE this bag. The leather is so thick and rich.

Any help sure would be appreciated!:smile1:

I would try a cobbler first. You can send the bag to Coach, but it will cost you $20. A cobbler would be cheaper.

This bag looks fabulous, congratulations!

Just a suggestion, and if I am overstepping my welcome just tell me so! But if you were to use permanent acrylic paint to touch up the edging on the straps it would look even better IMO!

I didn't have to do much to this bag but I wanted to share it anyway because I love it! Skinny Flight Bag from the 80's in burgundy. There is a big scratch on one side and the corners have lost some color. Blackrock isn't completely hiding these flaws.

LOVE!!!! That is an awesome bag! I love the Skinny Flight Bag, someday....

Thanks! I'll give the cobbler a try first; but I'd gladly pay $20 to have it done "right".

If you decide to send it to Coach, make sure you tell them you want the bag back if they can't repair it. How old is the bag? Otherwise they will toss it, and send you a discount card good at full price Coach store. Very often Coach doesn't want the hassle of fixing the bags.

Hi all, my first time in the rehab and care forum...I need help for two bags, please!

Bag 1: Coach Soho Small Hobo - Cream
its pretty scuffed up but the stitching is solid and the inside is clean but a signature fabric.

Bag 2: Coach Demi -Hot Pink!
its also structurally sound; however it has a nice scuff mark on the bottom corner.

Thank so much!

Sorry but I am not able to access the pictures at those links, is it a private album?
