Thanks! My Mum is an artist, so she may have the right colour paint for me at her place. Hmmm, paint opens up a whole new world of rehabbing for me...

I used the same extra virgin olive oil that was hanging out in my kitchen, I got it at Cost Plus world Market when they were having one of their great olive oil deals... I think it took a couple of days for it to fade after I applied it to the tan bag, and the navy blue one never really had much of a color change from it, which is sad because I wanted it to get darker!
And for paint I use acrylic craft paint or acrylic artists paint (in the tube), depends on how thick I need to apply it.

And in a whole year of going there I have previously found one Brighton purse, and one fabric purse by some designer my sister likes... I gave it to her as a christmas gift and she loves it and carries it daily... figures I can't remember the name. Anyway, to find this many all in one day, is just almost too much for my poor brain to handle!!

Good for you! I'm so jealous...those bags are gorgeous!

When Angel rehabbed the cream bag it inspired me to try one. You can generally get them pretty cheap on Ebay. Jimi is beautiful. I am laughing about the sibling rivalry he shares. My cousin has 2 parrots, one similar to yours, and a blue parrot. I have always wanted a cockatoo, but the Chows want no parts of one, my girl would make cockatoo stew...

Sol dislikes Jimi as much he dislikes her. She would love to eat him, but knows she is not allowed. He is too smart for her anyhow.

Jimi - he is 3 in June. Sol just turned 2 in April. Jimi came along after I lost my cat at 16 years old. My husband had been saying for years that there would be no more cats in our house. I grew up with cockatoos, and had had a few smaller parrots, so we decided to get a parrot. I wanted one who would be more social than cockies - they tend to be 'one person birds'. We picked Jimi when he was just a spikey little chick with no proper feathers and he came home at 4 months old. Eclectus take a long time to wean onto proper foods from baby bird formula. He is great fun, if moody at times, and so incredibly smart. One day I could hear the dog barking, but I looked at her and her mouth wasn't moving. It was Jimi, then when I saw him he cracked up laughing in my voice! At the moment he is singing along to a cd I have playing.

Sol came along as a rescue puppy after I lost my shepherd at 12 years old. I really wanted a dog for us all, especially for my daughter. They bring a different kind of companionship into the house. I can't imagine not having animals in my life

Who was home first, Sol or Jimi?

Oh, Thank you!! My sister is getting the Willis, she called me tonight asking me about a bag to wear with a business suit, and since I happen to have two Willis bags I sent her a picture and told her she could have it for what I paid plus shipping and she would need a strap...

It was funny, because this is the month that I spent my entire budget in the first three days, on purses, a water distiller, and clothes for my husband, and tailoring for him... so I was on a ban as of today... and then this happened. He was laughing at me as I was finding them because he has been there with me before while I found nothing, and so he was shocked too, especially since he had agreed to pay for anything good I might find...

Jimi sounds like so much fun! I love the idea of him barking and trying to get the dog in troublw-:DIt's so funny how I pick the same traits in animals, no matter the species. Chows are very much 1 owner dogs. I gave my first bag a dip tonight, I'm giving it to a friend for Mother's Day. Oddly enough, she rarely carries a handbag. This is the basic zip top clutch with detachable shoulder strap. Anyway, bag came and I was sad, she looked good, and I was just thinking some conditioner. I sniffed her tonight, and there was a faint smell of perfume, so into the sink she went. Have rinsed twice already, and the water is sooooo brown. I'm actually kind of happy, I feel a sense of accomplishment already. It's an original NYC bag, and the leather is still wonderful after all these years.

Lucky you. My husband just tonight put a big smackdown/ban on my thrift shop outings until I sell some of what I have....grrr..... he's so short sighted...

You are not the only one... I have completely filled my two shelves for purses, and the rack I hid behind the door, plus one of the drawers my husband wasn't using... yep, I am out of space and money... and my husband heard me call my purses a "collection" last night, and well, it wasn't started as a collection, I was just going to buy some and refurbish them and sell them on e-bay for fun, and because I was bored. But now I can't decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell... I promised him that next week I would start selling a few... I have a Tignanello I can definitely sell, and possibly a few Coach ones that I know I won't ever carry... I guess that is a start... and the good news is whatever money I get from selling them I get to reinvest in whatever purses I want! And obviously he isn't very strict about banning me, he actually takes joy in whatever brings me joy, so he pretty much enables me more than anything else, lol!

So, I am rehabbing the Dooney Norfolk... it was a little more involved than a Coach bag would be. I also had them all authenticated by BeenBurned, and I got a Norfolk, an Equestrian, and a Hobo, all authentic. I am definitely having an amazingly lucky purse streak lately...

I have a coach suede bag, that I had gotten when I was about 13[My aunt had gotten it for me at the outlet] it's a really small bag. Anyways it's got some discoloration on the bottom. Probably from using it so much. Is there any way to get rid of it?

I really would like to try and get it looking nice again, so I can maybe pass it down to my future kids or something.
