Hi, I just bought this type of wallet but it kind of smells smoky and like an old car.

The odor makes me dizzy too. It comes from all parts of the wallet; outside, inside the pockets...

Any tips on how to go about cleaning/removing this odor from the wallet?

(The link has many views of the wallet if you need a reference)

Generally giving it a bath helps a lot with smells. Right now I am struggling to remove cigarette smoke smell from a Willis, I have done a lot of washing and conditioning and I think it is getting better. Do a TPF search on "smoke" and "odors" to find suggestions.

Is it unlined? If it is lined, what color is the lining. If not-dunk it!

I recently dunked a lined MK wallet and a lined coach ergo wallet and they both came out okay.

I haven't counted, I probably should but then I would be embarrassed! I have given quite a few of my rehab projects away, but I keep buying more! And I have a whole bunch that are just sitting and waiting for attention. I think I need a purse intervention, please stop me before I buy more!!!

Lol! You are not the only one!!! I won that Gracie today, and I totally did not think I would, because if the other bidders had bid one more dollar I would have been outbid, because that was the last of my budget! What is this, the 3rd of the month?? Lol... yeah, I have to find another hobby for the rest of this month! My poor husband is happy though because on my way to try and find a good store to buy old Coach bags at last week (which I never did find) I found a Goodwill that had amazing mens clothes. He has been walking around all day in a $200 Cubavera shirt looking like a Colombian drug lord because of my Coach habit. Now if only that store had good purses!!

I am only new to Coach and to handbags in general, but I think we would ALL be a little embarassed if forced to admit to our handbag tally. It is so lovely to see them transform, and to make them usable and lovely again. You also give yours away as gifts and I'm sure the recipients must love getting them from you.

Besides if you had an intervention, how would we all get to enjoy your marvellous rehabs???? No pressure here! Haha

I am loving the pet stories! Since we are sharing, at the link below you will see pics of my pet rabbit, her name is HoneyBunny. The pictures were taken a year ago around Easter and she is bigger now, but she's still a cutie! :D

OMG! HoneyBunny is such a cutie! Her coat looks like velvet, I just want to snuggle with her! Love the color on your nails, and the bunny, too cute! I didn't even know Coach made rings...

Your purse knowledge --thanks to your purchases and postings --is a huge wealth of information for us all!! speaking of interventions....found 3 more thrift Coach bags today....sigh. But couldn't help myself. They'll be on the secondhand thread tomorrow when I can grab a camera.

I have to do a little happy dance here, and am so excited so I wanted to share. Not only did I get my delivery yesterday, but another came today. It is a burgundy slim kisslock tote that I won off Ebay after asking the seller if she would consider sending it all the way down under. No-one else bid, maybe because the leather was coming out of the front kisslock pocket? Anyway, I have just spent half an hour in my husbands man shed and have borrowed his tools and i have FIXED IT!!! Yay. I will post photos next Monday, when I have my camera cable again (left it at work). Now she's off for a bath.

P.S if we are doing pet stories - the lovely green fellow in my picture is my eclectus parrot Jimi. He sings and speaks in context and amazes me everyday. He had a little chew on my berkeley bag strap yesterday, but I still love him, and the strap is OK
