I officially have a HG Rogue. When did they make those?

I’ve always been leery to spend more than $100 bucks on EBay, even though it’s obvious most of the listings were purchased directly from the FOS. It’s just my personal hang-up, even though EBay seems to have good protocols in place for returns/counterfeits/etc (I’ve never had to avail myself of them though, so I could be wrong.).
I’m willing to pay a little more through FOS for the exact reasons you stated. I’ve been lucky enough to only receive 1 mangled bag, and that was actually from Coach.com. I was hoping they’d have the Rogue in the haircalf ocelot print (the brown “natural” colored one) this time around. I think that’s the last of my HGs, that I’m willing to pay more for, other than anything in a teal exotic.
I thought hard about the croc this morning, but ultimately decided that if I was going to spend that much I should truly love it. Otherwise I might as well go big and go premium designer. I doubt Hermes will ever deign to offer me the bag I want (and I outright refuse to play their game of spending money on things I don’t really want in order to “cultivate a relationship” with a store clerk), but it doesn’t keep me from squirreling away money just in case...
There are a few lesser known Hermes styles I would consider, but I hate the game they play. Beware...you say this now, but I can’t tell you how many people say this, and then proceed to find plenty they want when they are on the search for the next bag! Lol. The bags become more interesting at the next SAS sale.....I hope it isn't because I feel liked I missed out on a couple years of extremely interesting bags. Though none of the newer styles are suiting my fancy for spring.

The last time I looked, I was the customer, not my sales associate.I won't buy a bag just because it screams "status". And I certainly won't pay $20k for a bag. (or $85k in croc or ostrich) So that leaves me out of the Hermes game unless I buy one of the garden totes or "le totes" at some point.
I used to feel that way about ebay. Now I'm up to about $400. I feel comfortable on ebay because they always side with the buyer.I’ve always been leery to spend more than $100 bucks on EBay, even though it’s obvious most of the listings were purchased directly from the FOS. Hermes doesn't do much for me. If I did buy Hermes, it would be one of the less popular styles anyone could get. I don't like super structured bags like Birkin or Kelly.
I like the lindy.Exactly. The only time I’ve been in a store was over a year ago, and surprisingly enough I was actually dressed well enough that they gave me the time of day. They had a Lindy in hand, but of course I couldn’t actually buy THAT bag. (Apparently my money wasn’t coated in the proper thickness of platinum that day.) The SA did take my information and preferences (I’m guessing she was bored) and I did end up buying a little scarf, but I’m not holding my breath that I’ll ever hear back from them. I keep drooling over that style online, but I honestly don’t know if I could spend 15K+ on a bag in good conscience. I mean good lord, we spent less than a fifth of that on the car I drive for work!
lol! I promise I am not trying to harass you, lol! I won't name names, but I know there have been others in the past on a buying spree, and then say, well, I don't see anything I like for this upcoming season--and then guess what happens? Well, they liked some bags after all, and the cycle continues. You are the voice in my head.![]()
I never liked the Birkin and even if I were a billionaire I wouldn't buy that bag. I would end up buying a tote bag of some sort and there is no point in getting that from Hermes when Dior, and many other European brands have really nice tote styles with shoulder straps at a lower price point.I used to feel that way about ebay. I agree, I think ebay feels the safest of the sites for me, and I also almost always get a great bag. I have a few exceptions, but really not many. And I do like that it is safe/easy to deal with. For example, I bought a bag recently that didn't match the pics even though the seller promised it did beforehand, so I was able to do a return without much drama.I used to feel that way about ebay. I understand and know you mean well. I should slow down and will probably but I did not expect to see THAT bag on FOS as it is one I have lusted after since finding the 1941 line. I think I am a bit puzzled by people's aversion to spending that much on this particular bag but will buy three or four $400+ rogues at a whack. Which is the same to me? I don't want 4 bags that I sorta like when I can have one I might love. Does that make sense? This is not meant to put a damper on anyone's purchase. It's all good though and I hope everyone loves their finds.lol! I promise I am not trying to harass you, lol! As handbag addicts, there are so many habits and cycles for us allI always say part of the reason I can see it, is because I have been there too. Even if it was a smaller scale, I have been through a lot of them, and I am still a work in progress!
