Everyone has to do what they feel comfortable with, but personally I would never pay that for a Coach bag. At least if you pay that for a Louis Vuitton and decide later that you no longer want it, you can recoup most of your money. With Coach the resale value just does not hold up.
That's always something I consider before I buy a bag because I get bored quite easily, no matter the brand.
Everyone has their own tastes though and LV is not mine. Too boring and plain so if I am going to spend the $ it will be on something that intrigues me. Chanel and Gucci are status symbols that don't fit my lifestyle. Like you say people have to do what they feel comfortable with.

If I remember correctly, the alligator croc bag only has the croc in the front of the bag. A SA at one of the NY stores once sent me more photos of it but I don't have them on my phone any more. You can kind of see that if you blow up the stock photos with the woman carrying the bag. Just FYI to those who purchased so you aren't surprised.
This seemed like it from the zoomed pics, which is better anyway because rubbing against your body would ruin the skin.

It totally agree, which is why I said buy it and love it for the love of the bag. I just think sometimes it is easy to fall for an expensive bag and feel disappointment later. I say this because I have this happen to me with not expensive bags and feel guilty! lol

I agree. I go through cycles

I've actually gotten rid of all but one of my LV's just because I spend so much money on them that I worry about them getting dirty or scratched, or someone spilling something on them that I stopped carrying them. I decided why bother spending THAT much if I can't enjoy them, so now I'm back at Coach because most of the prices are reasonable and they are well made.

I am shocked, but I'm not buying anything. I have the Rogue 36's already, and the Souvenir Rogue which I got at a better price. I love that croc Rogue but wouldn't have bought it at that price. For $1,800 I am going to buy a premier bag. (Although I can't wait to see the reveal pics. )

I have to be honest, I felt sad browsing through the sale. It's the end of the 1941 era, which I really enjoyed at Coach.

Oh well, life goes on....
I hope it isn't because I feel liked I missed out on a couple years of extremely interesting bags. Though none of the newer styles are suiting my fancy for spring.

I totally agree. I scoured the entire thing and decided on the rogue with floral print interior in Ivy. I thought I would have to do some hard decision making when it came time to checkout! My wallet is happy :P

I went with that one too, after taking the croc in and out of my bag twice (I’m not quite sure how I managed to do that, but to the 2 or 3 of you who did get it, YOU’RE WELCOME! ). I’m still debating on the Felix and one of the 36’s, but I think I’ll wait and see if they don’t add a coupon code onto those eventually. I have a feeling the higher priced stuff is moving a little slower than they’d like.

Also, I’m probably remembering wrong, but didn’t they put out a croc Rogue that was more of a teal color? That was the one I’ve spent the last 24 hours mentally drooling over (and which resulted in multiple “dear! why are you on the coach site again?!!” inquiries from a certain someone), so I have to admit the green made me go “oh.” when I first saw it this morning.

That was maybe the $7K newer versions in alligator? I love the teal blue one but not something I would use.

I wasn't around for the introduction of the Rogues in 2016 either. I was buying proenza back then and in a "separation" from Coach because of their insane pricing and branding strategies. (I had gotten burned by paying full price for some stuff only to see it go to outlet in a month).

It's easy to get caught up in the hype on this board . I have to double check myself all the time so that I don't stampede to the latest FOS sale and buy something I don't want, need, (or sometimes even like that much  )

I still buy my HG early edition rogues on ebay when I find one in good condition. Often I will post a link in the "finds" thread to one that I already have if I think it's a good deal.

The newer styles are clearly a large step down from the 1941 leather and style. I am a big bag girl because I carry a bunch of stuff back and forth for work, so the cute tabbies and other small bags are never going to be my daily bag.

I think buying the early Rogues on FOS makes sense as you know it's coming from Coach and haven't been used (much). I do think that now that we are down to the last of the Rogues, there is a risk they will be returns or from stores. But I would still buy anyway if they had something on my "list".
