I wouldn't feel the need to apologize to someone who is acting like a melodramatic teenager when anyone disagrees.

Perhaps that is why "that don't mean nothing here."

I'm personally of the opinion that it doesn't matter if Coach says an F bag is retail, what matters is how the market treats it, and the market treats all F bags as MFF.
I agree @pasdedeux1  It's like people saying that you could get a "Hermes" bag for much less than retail if you hired the artisans to moonlight and bought the same leather, etc.

You could get a bag that looked like a Birkin and was made of the same materials, even maybe made by the same artisans for much less than a Birkin. But that bag would not have the Hermes stamp on it, and would not be distributed through Hermes and therefore it would not have much resale value. This is fine if you just want a certain look with certain materials. But that bag is NOT a Birkin. Same for Coach bags with an F creed (on a MUCH lesser scale of course  ) They are not Coach retail bags.

Here are some facts:

If you knew Coach history from the beginning day till now (which you don't and @whateve does) You'd know that nothing is absolute with Coach. They change rules as they please or as needed.
As the expert Authentication team here have demonstrated over and over and still are finding even with new products that the only thing consistent about Coach is their INCONSISTENCY! Your knowledge is not invaluable but is only applicable to products during the time you were employed. Your knowledge can't be applied to future products if and when Coach changes the rules. The fact is you no longer work there. Fact is, you are no longer being trained on what they are changing and you are now just as much in the dark as any other customer. I love that you're always helpful and share with us the opportunity to score our dream Coach bags. However, you've got to stop being offended and pouting like a little girl with your arms crossed because we aren't listening to you. No one here benefits from proving you wrong and I hope you realize that. It isn't you that we don't trust, it's Coach and their system that we don't trust to be always the same.

This is not correct. I learned so much from working there but that don’t mean nothing here. I try and educate but it goes unnoticed. Oh well. Ppl will believe what they want. Happy shopping

Well, I could also pull out my “I worked for Coach card too” , years ago with Corporate but that’s not what we are discussing.

Any bag with a F in its creed will be defined as a made for factory bag. Years from now when the Rogue is considered a vintage purse, an authenticator or auction specialist will look at that creed and deemed it as a retail or not. They could have two identical Rogues and the one without the F in the creed will probably be valued more than the one with the F.

Facts are facts.

Happy shopping to you too.

No cards are being pulled. I have stated facts. Happy shopping

Bags that have F creeds on the bag are made for factory. When someone goes to resell those bags, they will either be faced with an "item not as described" escalation and have the bag returned, or they will get a lower price for the bag since it is an MFF bag.
Now this begs the question of why Coach would make the exact same bag for outlet and retail. That is a very good question and my guess is that even Coach executives don't have a clear answer lol

Thank you for the explanation. :flowers:
That was my understanding of it all along. I just got lost when I started following the side discussion and thinking nothing makes sense anymore!:P

Since this is the Coach factory thread, let’s make this simple and not confusing, stick to what we need to know when we buy a bag from the Coach Factory online sale (FOS) or Coach outlet store:

So we purchased a bag, regardless of what style or materials used, refer to the creed sewn inside the bag (not the paper price tag or style number used for found orders):

Bag purchased has a F in the inside creed:

1. This was manufactured to sell ONLY at the outlet, this bag will not ever be at the retail/boutique. The style may be in the Coach retail store/online BUT that F in the creed will always designate this bag as a Made for Factory bag.

2. For resellers: this bag cannot be described as a retail bag because of the F in the creed. Even if the bag looks exactly like a retail bag, that F creed makes it a made for factory/outlet bag. A buyer could open a fraud/not as described bag claim if it’s claimed as a retail bag.

3. Returning/exchanging this bag: this can only be done at the Coach Outlet stores or via Coach Factory Online. **** the Retail Coach at one time could mail out the outlet bag for you but that, I believe, is not possible now, always refer to your receipt for more information . As always, Coach’s return policies seem to change.

*************************************************************

Bag purchased has NO F in the creed:

1. This bag was manufactured for sale in the Coach retail store. It either came from the retail where it didn’t sell and sent to the outlet store for discounted sale or it came from the retail surplus inventory at the warehouse (Jacksonville, FL). These bags are referred as Coach reserve or deletes at the outlet/FOS. This bag will always be designated or authenticated as a retail bag. *****but look at the creed! This is where it gets muddy, some bags are advertised on the FOS or placed at the outlet stores with signs indicating as retail bags but we have seen some with that F placed in the creed. We have seen this in some of these recent styles : Nomad(Mae), Rogue shoulder bags, Rogue 17, Dinky, Swagger, Drifter, Cooper. Why does Coach do this? Who knows??? Just to keep us crazy! :confused1:

2. For resellers: regardless of where this bag was originally purchased (retail or FOS/outlet), this bag can be described and advertised as a retail bag because there is no F in the creed. This is where that F plays an important part for the market. The no F creed may make this bag more valuable or thought of as higher quality.

3. Returns/exchanges: Retail bags can be exchange/returned at the Coach stores but if it was purchased at the outlet/FOS, you have to go thru there. **again check your receipt for more details.

DISCLAIMER: this is what is known now, as we have all learned in the past years, Coach has fun with us in changing their sale tactics.

If you are buying a bag and you are not sure if it’s a real, fake, retail or outlet bag, head over to the Authenticate This Coach Thread. The crew over there are rock stars! They know their stuff!

Hope this helps streamline our discussions.... now let’s get back to shopping or for some of us, head over to the Involuntary Ban Thread to try not to shop!

On a lighter note…the outlet is killing me!! Went to the closest one to me today after my friend had been to another one. They didn’t have a ton of full price deletes but had quite a few different Rogue options At 70% off. It makes it hard to buy at the full price store win 50% off. These were on the semi annual sale for 50% off.

Please excuse my attire. I do run to the store before they closed. Black 25 and Beachwood with python in the regular size.

Those are gorgeous! That beechwood rogue is so much more stunning in a model shot than Coach's tired marketing shots lol :D. I love your boots too. :)

Thanks so much! Beechwood is one of my favorite Coach colors...only thing I wasn’t sure about was the python but $360 from $1200?!?!? Coach.com still has at $600. And seriously don’t trust their games anymore. I saw Rogue 25s in a full price store...no clochette and no extra leather strip on bottom by the feet. I think it’s sneaky they are passing these bags off like they were the earlier versions.

Here are more pictures. Just noticed hangtag on black 25 is bigger than the one on beechwood. Does that seem wrong? I’m a stickler for the correct pieces!

Coach is a hot mess with the Rogues right now frankly. $360 is an absolute STEAL for that beechwood rogue. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it at that price even on day one of my six month ban lol :D (I WILL make it through at least a couple months of my six month ban. I am determined!)

I think I will put together a post in the next couple days cataloguing the differences between the three generations of Rogues so that people can check for certain things as they decide whether to buy a rogue. You certainly can't trust Coach's online pictures. If I see one more picture on their site of a rogue with a padlock on it, I am going to get a lawyer lol. :D
