Ugh, shipped a return back last week via USPS and I'm not sure what happened to it. According to tracking, COACH returns department was closed on the 13th so it's being held at the post office.

Your item is being held at the Post Office in JACKSONVILLE, FL 32218 on January 13, 2018 at 3:46 pm because the business was closed. The item will be delivered the next delivery day that the business is open. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender.

How come USPS hasn't tried to deliver it again? If it gets shipped back to me I doubt I will still be able to make the 30 day return deadline.

Ugh...USPS sucks. I filed a report and nothing has happened. The agent who is supposed to be handling it is never in her office and the post office that supposedly has my package never answers their phones. Of the few times they do answer they put me on hold 20+ minutes until they randomly hang up. Not sure what else I can do.

How frustrating! I have been on hold for over 40 minutes with ILoveDooney recently so I know your pain. I hope this gets resolved for you quickly!

Omg, USPS keeps topping themselves with poor service. I finally received an email about my case, it's just a generic copy and paste and they didn't even bother editing it with my name. Here it is:

Wow! I don't even know what to say about their response. Sorry you're dealing with this problem.

I've shipped with usps for years, no problems with sent or received packages......until my son's Christmas package last month. Sent on the 18th, supposed arrival time the 23rd. It was scanned, but not put on an outbound truck from Tennessee for 2 whole days. On the 26th delivery was attempted, my son wasn't there to sign for it. Signed up for redelivery for the next day. The next day came, no package that day, or the next, or the next.......GF called post office, was told package was there. They went to p.o., stood in line for 35 minutes to be told package was not there. I filed lost package report and called my post master. She tried to intervene on my behalf with Brooklyn p.o. I filed an insurance claim. Two days later my claim was approved and a check sent two days after that. They never did a search for my lost package. On January the 18th I finally got through to the p.o. AND a nice person who did her job and found the package just sitting in the back. Son was out of town until this past Tuesday night. I called a second time to make sure package was still there and no return to sender started. (It would take approximately 3 months for it to get back to me. :wtf:) On Wednesday he left work early, stood in line forever, but they found his package quickly, and another one that was never delivered that he'd forgotten about.

Maybe call Coach, explain the situation and see if you can get an extension on the return time?

Oh that is just ridiculous! I can't believe you had to go through that. I really feel like most employees just don't care at usps. I still can't get my agent on the phone. She called me at 9:54 today but I missed it and called her back right at 9:56. No answer so I left her yet another voicemail and have called another 3 times since. I've been very patient and polite so I don't get why I can't seem to get anyone to talk to me. I will call Coach later again today to see if I can get an extension since tracking proves I mailed it back 2 days after receiving.
This is such a different experience than when UPS lost a package. They were easy to contact and found it within hours. Even called me the moment it was delivered to apologize once again.

Hopefully, Coach will approve an extension since you have proof that it was sent. Some offices just don't seem to care, the Brooklyn office is one of them, but thankfully I found one person who wanted to do her job and was very nice about it. My son has complained about this office for years though. The package is probably where it was last scanned at, just sitting there....just like my son's package was. Have you called that post office directly and asked to speak to someone about a lost package? That's how I was finally able to get mine tracked down.

I've been calling the post office it was last scanned at and can't get an actual human being on the phone! I've left several messages too and no one calls back. When someone does answer they put me on hold then someone hangs up 20+min later. Reviews online for this post office are horrible as well. I think I'm going to stop by my local post office today and see if they can get any answers, they are never busy and typically very nice.

You can always initiate a chargeback thru your credit card company/bank. I had to do that once for a similar situation. And amazingly enough, as soon as I did that, the package miraculously was found by the post office. But I was refunded immediately. You have to force Coach to go find the package. Money talks...
