The satchels don't appeal to me as much as the regular Rogues. However, they are very square so you might not like them either. I also think the smaller Rogue satchel has more appealing proportions than the 36.Did you get the large rogue satchel in oxblood yet? What do you think of it? I got mine yesterday and it is very beautiful, but I do no like the large, square shape on me, and the strap is adjustable but still long. For $400 I really have to love a bag, so I will be returning my first rogue.![]()
It should suede on the outer pockets/compartment and the main zipped compartment should be canvas.
I have the chalk colored smaller satchel but most I have seen are this way
To me, this is where Coach fails consistently. Strap thickness and/or placement has ruined otherwise great designs
I agree. And the lack of useful pockets.
My package was delivered on Tuesday, but I haven't been home to go down & pick it up from the office that signs for my packages.... I'll keep you posted when I am able to grab itDid you get the large rogue satchel in oxblood yet? What do you think of it? That's too bad about your Rogue! So how many oxblood bags have you returned this year? LOL, j/k![]()
AMEN! I've been preaching on this for a while now. And on some bags, there's no reason actual handles couldn't be removeable too. I know the way some bags are made that option wouldn't be workable, but on some bags it could have been....and I think it could have been workable on the Rogue.AMEN !!!!
And on bags with 2 types of strap, shoulder and crossbody, both straps should should be removable. Clips on the crossbody strap, and spring-gate rings on the short one.

I cut the long strap off my Poppy sapphire spotlight because it was that cheap webbing type of strap that spoiled the look of the bag, and the stupid designers decided to only put a clip on one end. I wish I could find a nice looking strap that looked good with it. I'm currently using the skinny strap from the midnight Legacy pebbled drawstring.Exactly - I've ended up just cutting the shorter strap off on some of my bags because I never use it to carry the bag and it gets in the way when i need to find something AND it often shortens the useable length of the crossbody strap. Here's a style I bought a while back, the shorter strap is SO short that there's almost no gap to get your arm into even if you have arms like Gwyneth Paltrow, you'd almost have to fold the bag in half just to use the short strap. If I decide to keep it, that short strap is getting slashed off.

If they just used spring gate clips for that strap not only could it be removed if we didn't need it, but the spring gate clips could also be used if we needed the longer strap lengthened just a few inches.
I've cut a few short straps off bags myself.....on a couple of older MK's. Just like the one you've got in the photo, dang short straps just got in the way when you try to get in the bag. Thankfully, MK and a few other designers have wised up and use spring gate clips on a lot of their bags in recent years.Exactly - I've ended up just cutting the shorter strap off on some of my bags because I never use it to carry the bag and it gets in the way when i need to find something AND it often shortens the useable length of the crossbody strap. Exactly! What else am I going to clip it to besides the ring? Ah, Fawlty Towers - one of my favorite shows! Not only does it spoil the look of the bag, but WTH is the point of having a clip on only one end? In the words of Basil Fawlty, "I mean, WHAT IS THE BLOODY POINT ???"![]()
