I didn't mess around this morning. Logged in, checked clearance section then Coach Reserve. Saw Oxblood Rouge 36 and was done in 5 minutes. If I order before 9am I usually get delivery the next day.

I got the rogue 36 in denim, couldn't decide between the 2 colors.

Dumb question since both of you bought the Rogue 36s, but how do you like this version? I like the regular Rogue (non-satchel), but am tempted by the 36 satchel because I think I'd like it better than the small satchel (I like bigger bags, haha).
Would you use it more as a satchel with its handles, or as a shoulder bag?? $400 is still a lot to spend on a bag I'm iffy on, but I may grab one to try before they're all gone to see if I like it... and I LOVE the oxblood color!

I have the black 36 satchel with the python handles and I love it much more than I thought I would. I removed the shoulder strap and carry it as a satchel only. It's a bit heavy but I love it so much I don't mind. It's a bit big for cross-body wear for me. I've shopped with it and can squeeze my wrist through the handle in a pinch.

Thank you! I think I'm just going to take the plunge and if it's bad for me... oh well, I guess I have to return it and Rogue another day, lol. I don't mind a bag that has some weight to it, but it depends what I'm doing! All day at a museum, probably not, but other things should be ok, and I would make use of the long strap for crossbody and probably even adjust it to wear on the shoulder occasionally. :)

It's not a dumb question @kells1983. I am wondering the exact same thing. I have had a generous Coach gift card in my wallet since March and I just splurged it and ordered the Rogue 36 satchel in oxblood.

I don't have any rogues so this will be my first and I don't have any oxblood bags. I love the color but have already returned 2 oxblood bags - a grammercy because it was too small and a nomad because I already had 2 nomads.

I like big bags but I am a short woman so I am worried that it will be too big and boxy for me. I'm also more of a shoulder bag lover but I wanted something different. I'm excited about my first rogue purchase but worried that I may be returning my 3rd oxblood bag soon!

Of course the bag looks wonderful on the tall, skinny, young model in the pic at the link below - but we will have to see how the Rogue works for a short, not skinny, old lady!

I keep thinking about the disappointment of Ginger years ago (see link below) but at $400 if the bag isn't perfect for me, then the beautiful oxblood rogue will have to go back, I have my fingers crossed!

I would suggest getting a regular rogue not a satchel. I have a satchel in chalk and it's really nice and all but it's also extremely heavy and the shape is hard to pull off (and I'm tall). It's definitely an awesome bag as like a 2nd or 3rd rogue but for your first I'd strongly suggest a 'regular' one.

I shouldn't have looked in this thread. I couldn't get the Rogue Satchel in my cart but I did get the Whiplash Saddle Bag. Doh.

I hope you will be pleased; I do like my Mineral Whiplash a lot! I took it on a short vacation this past weekend, and it was so lovely to wear as a crossbody while doing some casual touring, and as a shoulder bag when we out for dinner. And it is so nice and soft - I could easily pack it in my "personal item" Longchamp Le Pliage for the flight there and back.

I just have the "regular" Rogue Satchels and love them (carrying one of them today). They were actually the first Coach bags I ever bought (one in black, one in oxblood). I am not sure I would want to go any bigger for myself (I am 5'4" and fairly small framed) but I just love the shape - that doctor/boston/speedy shape is one of my favourite shapes for bags, though.

I do however actually carry mine as a shoulder bag quite often. I just keep the strap on it at all times so I can easily switch between hand carry and shoulder carry (cross body less frequently). I love that the strap has a wider adjustable "shoulder pad" as it is quite comfortable. It is a heavier bag, but I don't load it up too heavy and find it very manageable.

I hope you love your new bag!

Oh no.... oh well, we'll see what happens when it arrives! I found the normal Rogue almost too square and briefcase-ish for me for casual wear... which is mostly when I would carry it because I use a backpack for my laptop on my way to work. If I need another bag I just carry a Longchamp tote or something lightweight. Maybe a Rogue is just not for me, but I'm excited to try it out at home, away from prying SA eyes ;)

This is good to know! I'm a couple inches taller than you and probably average framed.... but I feel like small bags look like Barbie bags on me, lol. Example, the only reason my Mercer 30 studded looks ok on me (imo) is because of all the embellishments and because I only use it for certain occasions like concerts and such. How short does the shoulder strap adjust to? I know it says 22" for crossbody, but wondering what the range is since you say you wear it on your shoulder :)
