Hi, i recently purchased a pre-loved Mulberry SBS cookie in nubuck ochre colour, it has some denim transfer on the back, does anyone know how to get this off? Also can I clean it with Collonil gel? Sorry i'm very new to Mulberry and this seems such a fragile leather I'm scared to damage it. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated :)

Welcome! Definitely don't use the gel. I think the only way would be to get a professional cleaner to do it. If you bought it from eBay and the colour transfer wasn't disclosed, you may want to ask the seller to take it back. Of you can live with it and can't get the marks out, get some suede protection spray such as collonil nubuck - at least it will be protected from new stains

I have just bought a bag in chocolate Darwin leather. It appears a little dry generally, although not dirty. What is the best thing to use to moisturise the leather. I usually use Collonil Gel and spray but I am not sure this will add enough moisture to the leather. Any help appreciated.

Wondered where you've been!

I bought a roxy Darwin in need of masses amounts of TLC, collonil 1909 leather creme cleaned and nourished it. Reveal reveal reveal! ;)

Hello!
I've just purchased my first Mulberry, "YAY!!!!!"
It's a dark blush Bayswater, in very good condition.

My question is, what should i use on it to keep it looking beautiful?
I've heard of colloni, but not sure if i need the gel or the spray. Also how many times i need to use it. I'm not going to use it daily.

My samorga organizer is on its way.
Thank you so much for your help!

Hi to everyone. My Alexa Camera has arrived. I really like the shape n size of this practical bag. But b4 I take her out, can someone pls advise me how to reverse the wrinkles found in several places? I wouldn't mind if the wrinkles r all over the bag because I think that will make the bag looks well loved n used. Here is pic of my - new to me camera bag. I'd really appreciate any input. TIA [emoji4]

it looks like soft buffalo leather, and its in the nature of it to wrinkle. There is also a tendency for variation between hides, some wrinkle a lot more than others. I think it will help to store it stuffed, and as you use the bag it'll soften further all over, but I don't think you're going to be able to reverse the wrinkles as such. I think it looks lovely, and with your things in, it'll look less obvious as well.

Oh soft buffalo! I didn't know what leather was used on that bag. Thanks so much for this leather info. Yes it's a lovely bag, I look forward to carry her a lot, hopefully she will look nicer after I stuff my things inside[emoji7]. Thanks a lot Pessie

I've just got (new to me) a lovely old Brown Congo Bayswater, it arrived looking unloved but with some Colonil gel the leather now looks amazingly better and tonight I've cleaned the inside with baby wipes as my first attempt (will wait to see tomorrow morning how the inside looks).
Only problem left now is that it looks like the inking on the handle has melted? onto the bag in some places on the front flap.
Is there anything you can recommend to remove these bits of inking off the front flap at all?
Also would you use just the Colonil gel on the leather or the leather gel as well?

Hello,
I wonder if you can advise me on what to do about my Tessie bag.
I brought a Tessie Tote Soft grain in red and have been using it this year, however the red suede has transferred on to all the items I had inside the bag. I took the bag back to the shop where I bought it and they said they would send the bag back to Mulberry to be sealed. Has any one else had a colour transfer problem? Would you ask Mulberry to replace it with a new one or do you think I should let them seal it. I am not happy that my things all have a red tinge on them.
I appreciate any advice. Thank you AAngela

Hello AAngela,

Welcome to the forum. I remember one thread a couple of years ago where another member had colour transfer issues, but it's certainly not been a commonly reported problem.
Are you in the UK? Also did the red Tessie tote definitely have a suede lining and not microfibre?

Hello Mooshooshoo, thank you for replying.
Yes I am in the UK, the bag was brought last November from a Fenwick store in Essex. It is a suede lining. Do you know when the micro fibre lining was introduced in the Tessie? Can you remember what the other person did?
Thank you

I trawled the threads but couldn't find it. All the related threads are about external colour transfer onto bags, so clearly not a common problem.
As you're in the UK it's unlikely to be related to humidity, so chances are you have simply been unfortunate. A lot of ladies use liners (Samorga is very highly recommended, but there are several brands - type "liner" into the search bar to find them), the rest of us tend to prefer to use pouches to organise the interiors of our bags and ensure no colour transfer. So that might be something to consider.
As it appears not to have been a problem it's difficult to suggest the best course of action. If you really love the bag, I'd opt for getting it sealed.

Just received a phone call - my peeling red onion patent sbs was returned to store, and they said no further action due to the age. I'm gutted tbh :( I noticed the peeling about a year ago and stopped wearing it as it had worried me, as didn't know bags could be assessed. Mulberry consists of the majority of my bag collection, but think I'll be straying to LV a lot more after this xx
Hi Emma,

So sorry Mulberry have not been able to resolve this for you.
This problem was very much confined to specific leathers. There was way back a release of what became known as the "dodgy Darias" and then red onion followed suit, though not in all cases. Don't let this put you off fabulous leathers like NVT and soft matte.
