I trawled the threads but couldn't find it. All the related threads are about external colour transfer onto bags, so clearly not a common problem.
As you're in the UK it's unlikely to be related to humidity, so chances are you have simply been unfortunate. A lot of ladies use liners (Samorga is very highly recommended, but there are several brands - type "liner" into the search bar to find them), the rest of us tend to prefer to use pouches to organise the interiors of our bags and ensure no colour transfer. So that might be something to consider.
As it appears not to have been a problem it's difficult to suggest the best course of action. If you really love the bag, I'd opt for getting it sealed.

Thank you for all your help, I'll take it back and get it sealed, I may ask them to replace it again though, since it does seem to be an odd case.
Have a nice day. :smile1:

I have a graphite bays with suede lining and I only have the very slightest colour transfer on white paper etc in my bag. I use a samorga so my stuff is safe but for everything to have red on it I think it must be faulty. Has anything been ruined or are they salvageable?

Hi Emma,

So sorry Mulberry have not been able to resolve this for you.
This problem was very much confined to specific leathers. There was way back a release of what became known as the "dodgy Darias" and then red onion followed suit, though not in all cases. Don't let this put you off fabulous leathers like NVT and soft matte.
I hope you don't mind me asking Mooshooshoo, but was this not an isolated case of red onion peeling then? I feel so upset about it, and feel a bit fobbed off by Mulberry tbh xx

Hello Sookie, Yes everything has been ruined, you can even see red tinges on my black Prada purse which I'm really annoyed about and I can't wipe it off.

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this has already been asked or answered but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for in this thread.
I've just bought a graphite pebbled leather bayswater and I've bought the waterstop spray and also the leather gel. Do I use both of these? How often do you use them and how?
Do I rub the gel all over the leather and leave it to dry then spray all over with the spray?

Will the spray mean I can use my bag in the rain with no worries?

Hi all

I've had my Daria medium hobo in oak spongy pebbled leather and always sprayed regularly with collonil waterstop spray, and so it shows no water marks.

However it does show a few very mild scuffs and almost very light scratches (almost where a finger nail has caught it)

Can anyone recommend anything that would nourish these parts? They aren't bad and if anything they are slightly lighter than the rest of the leather.

I had thought about the collonil cream but then I read it is just for water proofing also.

Thanks for any experiences you can share!xx

Several folk have asked the same question through the course of this thread, you do need to search back, but the answers are all there :smile1: See #1011/1012

You can get coloured collonil gel. The gel has several functions including nourishing and renewing dry leather, it also offers water resistance (though will not make your bag waterproof). If the colour loss is minimal the coloured might be the answer.
Hope this helps?

Thanks will take another look :) I really need to get the hang of how to use the forum!
So far I've just discovered the search bar at the top to search the thread but often it doesn't find anything, or it will show me part of a sentence that someone has posted but I can't click on it to see the rest, what am I doing wrong?

Hello.

Can anyone tell me if the oak bayswater cookie bag is very sensitive to raindrops?
Its hard to avoid a few drops here in my country from time to time and i remember bying the oak hobo bag in 2010, which got permanent stains from very little rain. :(
So now i wonder how sensitive the oak colour cookie soft matte leather is...? I have this bag in black already, and I know that it is sensitive leather, but would really really like the oak one as well :-)
Thx so much...

It does help! I'll get browsing online to see if I can get some of the coloured gel - thanks.

It doesn't bother me too much but I've been stalked a new daria satchel and it makes me realise that my leather isn't just pristine anymore!
