Hello lovely ladies :smile1:
I have just purchased a Euston bag from eBay and while it is in good condition the leather is so dry,I suspect it's never seen collonil in it's life
Is there anything I can use to get an emergency dose of "moisture" into the leather before starting on the collonil or is it just a case of keep applying repeated doses of collonil?

Hmmm, come to think of it, it may have been the gold Elvis suggested.

Good thanks just back from the Canaries, very lucky we didn't have more than 30 mins delay as we landed last night at 8.15 ish

Hi hope someone can help.

I purchased my first ever mulberry Alexa in red at Christmas. So far I've only taken her out in dry weather and only became aware that I need to protect it after reading this thread. So the question is how? I've got some collonil waterstop spray do I just spray it all over what about the buckles, plates shoulder strap etc. I'm just really scared that I'll damage her.

I just bought a black medium Lily with silver hardware in the Christmas online sale, and I have been too afraid to even get it out of the dust bag. The silver is so shiny and the leather is so.... unworn and beautiful

Does anyone know how I should treat it before use? In the order confirmation-email from Mulberry it says that the leather is "Soft grain" and the "Collonil leather gel" appeared as a recommendation when I ordered the bag, so I bought one of those. But now when I read about the leather gel, the "Soft grain" is not listed under which leather it could be used on... So can I use it? Or should I use the Collonil spray instead?

And could I do anything to protect the silver, or could I just spray all over the bag? :wondering

I have the exact same bag and used this:

I'm not really a fan of Collonil spray but it's all some ladies will use.
I've used the bag in the rain and snow and it's fine.

Hi! I recently bought a vintage Bayswater in natural leather. The handles have darkened quite a bit due to use, and the rest of the bag has got a beautiful warm honey-colour to it. How can i best clean up the handles and remove the grime and dirt? I have a leather care "wax" similar to collonil, but I would like to clean it properly before using the leather care product. Any recommendations?

Hi everyone, hope you are all okay :)

I have a Natural Leather Black Bayswater and just wondered if you would recommend spraying with the waterstop spray first and then using the gel going forward, or just to use the gel from the start?

Ive been hearing mixed reviews so thought i would ask!

I've always been advised, with new products, to spray thoroughly (but don't saturate!), allow to dry, polish lightly (eg with the inside of the dust bag) and repeat. After that, spray occasionally and after rain, applying gel only as necessary (eg on corners). It works for me! :-)

Without knowing what the mark was caused from, hard to know how to treat it.

No use really, but thought I'd say it anyhow, I can't stop using my NVT bella messenger and she gets a bit grubby from newspaper smudge, I swear by lord Sheraton wipes for cleaning and protecting. Of course along with lashings of collonil.

If in doubt ring mulberry up for advice on your particular leather

I have a grape purple oversize Alexa in buffalo that has been regularly treated with collinol waterstop spray but nothing else. I want to give the bag a bit of a clean to liven her up, there are no stains but I just feel it's probably time for a little clean! What's the best product/method to do this?
