Mulberry Ellie has a tip against smelly bags ( hope this is okay with you M.Ellie?!)


Id give it a damn good vaccuum all over, inside/out.

Musty = mould spores (usually invisible) and sunlight is the best cure for that (BUT please be mindful of bright sunshine = fading).

Keep bag bone dry.. place inside plastic bag..........Buy a few tubs of Bicarb of Soda and sprinkle bag liberally with it, inside & Out. Seal Plastic Bag.

Change Bicarb every 4 weeks................check every month , repeat as necessary.

who was asking about ironing .... yes I tried it ! guess what , trashed it ! It makes the leather very dull. Actually if I can still find the bag , I will post a photo . Its yuk .( I didn't put the iron on it "neat, put a towel over the leather )

Oh MM it was me, I was half joking - you actually did it!! Which Mulberry bag was it I wonder - if you could post pics that would be great future reference.... :faint: (Are there anything you haven't tried yet but planning to....???)
 
Some mad ideas work , honestly ! :death: some are total disasters . Can't win em all , LOL . It was a strap that was annoying me , see below . This is a classic "what not to do " !!!

^^ Both Darwin Choc , bottom one ironed, top one not ironed ^^ It changes the texture , colour , sheen , feel ......... mmm .......everything. I think I was trying to get rid of stretch marks ! !!!:shame::shucks:
