Has anyone tried the new Collonil Nano Pro Spray instead of the usual Collonil Waterstop spray

I had a problem with colour transfer on my Apricot Small Del Rey and wondered if this is better
I had sprayed her lots but I still had transfer from a black dress the first time I used her. I have now used the Furniture Clinics Protection cream and haven't had a problem since although she's not been out much

I was just hoping to find something full proof I don't want to keep worrying everytime I use her. I have other light coloured bags & never had this problem before

The nano spray states "Nano structures shield textiles and leather fibres to make them highly resistant to water and stain"

Any thought Ladies ?

Saw my post was moved here, and just saw your bag and SHE'S GORGY! Need to read how to protect mine. I'm afraid to use it :/

Thanks Deppaholic, I adore her, like you say so Speedy, still looking for my first LV but can't find the right colour. I think I must be patient :graucho: :D

I thought it was the "Collonil Nubuk & Velours Spray" for suede.I emailed collonil direct regarding my query and was very impressed. I got a very detailed helpful reply that day.

Oh, I never thought of doing that, brilliant. I shall also. Your bag here is TDF! Love! Oh, I'll take a Speedy in every color and design. I'm working on it. hehe. My daughter loves them now also. But I love the Del Rey also. Bayswater is next. Not crazy about some of the other designs. Wish I could see them in person though. Yes, I think I need something other just "leather" protectant from Collonil. Do you find her very heavy? Mine is heavy, but I like that! Let's you know you're getting your money's worth.

I have the small Del Rey and it's very light. Is yours the larger one?

I am itching to get my Speedy. I so love the Monogram Multicolore  but they don't do it in the Speedy 25 with shoulder strap which is really what I need. I am trying to be sensible as I dont get a great deal of use out of larger bags and have sold quite a few of my Mulbs off in favor of smaller ones (and other brands :shame:) I still have my Bays, do need a larger bag sometimes and love my Alexas.

I know just what you mean. I have never seen a LV bag ITF :nogood:I live too far away from any sensible shops and mostly buy online, so rarely know what they are actually going to be like. It's so different when you can try them on. I have stopped buying bags on Ebay for this reason as you can rarely return.

Oh for a decent shopping center nearby :shucks:

Your Del Rey in that color is divine!

Yes, I live close to the KOP mall, and can (fondle) (hehe), any LV I want. Sometimes I just go in and look to see what's new, etc. Never do care for any of the shoes or jewelry though. The scarves are gorgeous though. I don't dress up, mostly casual so the Speedy fits my lifestyle to a T. Any LV model I have tried are made exquisite! I almost bought a mini lin but passed on that and later sprung for Tivoli GM which I love. But I do have the Speedy's in many of the different colors and textures. I would love to try an Alexa in the Oak, looks gorgeous, and I do have one coming in the Croc in a Bays. I think I should be done with buying any purses for awhile! I don't know when how many is enough.

Yes, I have the larger Del Rey, and it is pretty heavy (empty). I won't wear her until I treat her though.

I got burnt with a Bays on Ebay, it was a fake :( Too late to return it, open a case anything. I found TPF too late. Now I have no idea what to do with her. It's made out of real leather, but fake :( It was my first one. I am afraid to buy from overseas, so I scour MyTheresa and Net a Porter, sites like that. I wish they would open a Mulberry at the KOP mall, it's a huge mall, I don't see why their isn't one already.

Anyways, nice chatting and enjoy that gorgeous bag. I had seen that one at Mulberry.com and thought about it with the two leathers. LOVE IT!

So classic I think :) Don't you? I just love her. Perfect for fall weather. I want to start using her now, but first I need to find the right spray to put on her. I tried to post from my computer when I lightened up the picture, but couldn't figure out how to do it, she's a beautiful brushed suede tan with leather on the sides. I will keep her on my arm. No sitting her down! Just was reading the thread of lady who had hers stolen right from under her nose :( How awful. Now, onto emailing Collonil about which spray to use :) Have a great night, or day....didn't quite catch your location.

She is stunning! I was at KOP today, I live South of Philly, close to Delaware. I have a Mulberry Bayswater in Magenta goatskin which I used the Collonil on. Am thinking about getting the nano spray, I feel as if I can't be too careful.

Hey Ladies

I wondered if you have any tips for restoring the leather smell to my Mitzy Tote (black pebbled leather)?

I bought it from ebay and it has just arrived but it doesn't smell at all, i'm gutted, I LOVE the smell of leather!

I did have it authenticated and it looks good to me (though i'm no expert!) but i'm missing that extra dimension. My Oak Rosemary still smells gorgeous and is much older. I know the smell of the different leathers varies but the MItzy must only be about 4 years old...

Any advice would be much appreciated!

About 7 months ago I purchased a new black pebbled leather Bayswater and there is or was very little new leather smell to it. Mine came from one of the retail stores in NYC so maybe the leather odor isn't so strong on these. I have no idea how long it had been in the shop.

Thanks Izzy, that's really helpful and has put the slight niggly doubt to rest!

I do not :( Sorry....

Hello I just bought a pre-loved darwin light color bayswater but obviously its ex-owner do not really take good care of it ;/
the overall condition is not that good, any suggestion that i could do to clean the WHOLE bag and some unknown grey marks ? The whole bag just look miserables :(
collonil gel or lack polish will do better for darwin and are they okay to use to cleav the whole bag? Thank you so much

I haven't tried it yet myself but The Furniture Clinic has a leather balm which they say restores the colour and smell of leather...

Hi Everyone

This is a great thread with lots of excellent tips. I recently bought a small Effie satchel in oak spongy pebbled leather. It was going to be my casual/weekend bag for strolling around the city, and I intended to wear it primarily with jeans. I asked the SA about colour transfer from denim and she said it would be fine with older, well worn denim. I sprayed with Collonil twice before using her for the first time.

The first time I took her out, I wore a really old pair of jeans that had been washed hundreds of times and within about half an hour I noticed colour transfer onto the bag. Fortunately, I was able to remove all the colour with a damp paper towel, but now I'm paranoid to wear her again and I don't know what clothes would be "safe". Does anyone know if I will get colour transfer from dark colours that are not denim, such as navy chinos, navy wool pants or a black wool coat?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
