Depends what you want to spend on it? could ask in Mulberry store, or a leather shop? Have you tried Collonil Gel or Cream ? think you can get in differant colours too, don't know if that over time would help the uneven colour?

Someone else on here maybe able to advice :smile1:

Thanks for the advice, I hope the Colonnil stuff helps :)

Hello Ladys,
i wonder why Mulberry did not recommend use collonil waterstop for the grainy print? They are recommending it for almost everything?!?
They write:

"Care:
The leather will relax and soften with age and use, enhancing the natural characteristics of the material.
Due to the light finish, rainfall may mark the surface. If the leather becomes damp, wipe the surface with a clean dry cloth as soon as possible and allow to dry naturally."

Did i need nothing from Collonil? This means i have no possibility to give my bag a refreshment? No gel or something?

What do you do with your grainy prints?

i tried to search for this on the forum, but couldn't find anything useful!

my mulberry bayswater have started to fall on its front when i put it down, it has basically lost its structure. do any of you have any ideas on how to make it "stand up" again? i was thinking about stuffing it with something, since that might help, but i have no idea WHAT i should stuff it with? are plastic bags okay to stuff it with? i'm only keeping it stored until after easter - which is when i need it for uni again :smile1:

Good afternoon,
Just received my lovely pre-loved oak Taylor in soft calf fur print, and there are a couple of small marks.
I've not see this type of leather before, and wondered if anyone has any tips please?
Thanks everso :smile1:

@claudiasusanna I just bought a large Evelina Satchel in soft grain at the Bicester outlet and they recommended colonil spray. I was planning to spray it tomorrow for its first outing but now im not sure - did the SA tell you not to?

Hi Ladies,

If you are in any doubt you can always email customer services directly with your [email protected]
Because it states that rain may mark the surface, waterstop is recommended. I spray all my leathers, including grainy print and have had no problems....:smile1:

Hi allurella,

It's advisable to store any unused Mulberrys stuffed, to help retain their shape. There are a variety of aids, from airpillows to acid free paper (Mulberry use this). If it's for a short period of time then it's not too much of an issue. Stuffing won't stop your bag from sagging when empty though, so it might be worth considering liners or base shapers to help in maintaing the shape....

You'll find both on etsy....

Thanks very much mooshooshoo! I think I will go for it, they did tell me to and put instructions on my receipt as well. I hate the early period with a new bag, I'm so scared I'll ruin it!

Hi
Can anyone offer any advice on how to remove dye transfer and marks from grey croc suede print? I've read all the tips on here, but none seem to be specifically for suede and I am a bit worried about flattening the suede if I wet it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi batfish,

There are commercial suede cleaners available

But you might want to consider professional cleaning......

Just wanted to say a huge thanks for all the useful info on this thread. My first Mulberry purchase was a fortnight ago (a Deer Brown Bayswater), very closely followed by the second purchase of a pre-loved Oak Darwin Roxanne. (I might accidentally have bought a third, but that's for another post, LOL!)

The Roxy came with some dark spots across the top and down one side - origin unknown. After some Collonil spray and Lord Sheraton Leather Balsam, they were still there but, on the advice of you lovely TPFers, I manipulated the leather around the stains - rolling, squeezing and massaging for a good 40 mins or so.

It looks so much better! Some have gone completely, but even those few left have faded lots. I'd have tolerated the spots on such a nicely aged bag, but I'm even happier with it now they're just about gone.

Thanks heaps for sharing your expertise with newbies like me. It's much appreciated!

Just to update - I finally plucked up the courage to spray my bag and it's perfect! I checked my care instructions and they recommend Collonil - mine is large grainy leather, I think maybe I misunderstood and that's different to grainy print?
