Thanks to a rather rude fellow shoppers supermarket trolley in Tesco my lovely new black alexa got a scuff near the bottom piping yesterday. A tiny touch of cake black shoe polish massaged in then buffed tonight and it looks good as new. I know I'll have to redo it, but makes me feel a bit better at least!!

Just recently got my first Mulberry, a bayswater in chocolate. NVT. Wondering how bad water marks would be if it got wet. Have collonilled it but wondered how bad it would be if it goes out on the rain ? Any advice great fully received.

I've just bought in Bayswater Tote in Oak natural leather. The Mulberry website says to use Collonil waterstop gel but when I phoned the store they suggested Collonil waterstop spray.

Which do I use?

Really scared of using me first mulberry alexa oak. The base seems really vulnerable does anyone ever put them down when out and about or hold them all the time? Have my eye on a mini alexa but think it will be black!!:smile1:

:nono: I never put my Alexa or any bag down, never know could be anything on the floor grease etc, and with the long strap no need.
I put mine across my body if no room to place on seat (never just hang from chair in public place could be taken) that's another reason not to put bags down too :(
Have put my Bay down if safe to, and on carpet etc, but she has the little feet, but again be careful if out in public place .....

I use both on mine, give a light spray once a month or so, and use the Gel every 6 weeks or when I fancy sitting and treating them :D
This seems to work fine and had no probs, with any of my bags.

Play it safe, and carry a Fiz bag or similar light folding shopper, keep one in your bag and slip over if you get caught in rain :rain:
I now have one with the longer shoulder handles,as having longer handes you can often tie over your bag.

Think you can buy rain covers for bags too, but the Fiz has worked well for me, and I carry one in my bags anyway for shopping, and they only cost around £3 ish :D

P.S You can also use the light shopper as a liner for your bag ...

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have bought a pre-owned mulberry brooke but it looks as though the leather has worn around the tree imprint or there maybe something on it. I have used leather cleaner but there were no marks on the cloth. I've attached photos so show the mark. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? Thanks for the help!

Maybe worth asking in a store that sells Mulberry, or emailing Mulberry enclosing photo for advice, don't risk making it worse :crybaby:

If nothing can be done? and its still bothering you could see if the bag can be dyed darker? failing everything else perhaps just hide with a pretty and suitable brooch or tie a pretty silk scarf that will hang over and cover if poss? ....

Oh no, bet you felt like hitting them with it :bagslap:
Good it's covered ok though
Not 100% sure, but think they do a Collonil Gel or Cream in black? maybe on ebay or somewhere just a thought if you need to touch it up regularly ....

Thanks for the suggestion, have just found it on amazon... Great reviews so I reckon it's certainly worth a try!!! Still annoyed 3 weeks later that it happened though. :nogood:

Thanks for the advice. Where do I get a Fiz bag? Have got shoppers but none big enough for my bayswater!

I bought a tooled Bayswater that has been exposed to water for a long time. It's leather is really dry and the color is uneven. Is there anything I can do to salvage the bag? I got it for an incredibly low price but didn't really realize its condition before I brought it home and had time to examine it.

Sorry for late reply
I get mine on ebay, some have the longer shoulder straps, have also seen on counter in some Charity shops.
my Alexa goes in ok, but you had better check size for your bayswater ? have not tried my bay in it, and not at home at moment x

Depends what you want to spend on it? could ask in Mulberry store, or a leather shop? Have you tried Collonil Gel or Cream ? think you can get in differant colours too, don't know if that over time would help the uneven colour?

Someone else on here maybe able to advice :smile1:

Pleased you found some :smile1:
hope you are getting over it now, and enjoying your bag again.

I dropped my Alexa the other day (getting in the car) Phew! bit of Collonil sorted it, but I nearly cried when I saw a scuff on it :crybaby:and only had myself to blame ...
These things happen.
