So sorry to hear about your problem, I totally understand how you feel as you have been wanting this bag for a while. I had the same problem with my search for a black Annie this time last year. Some sellers really do mis describe their bags - it's so frustrating ! I had to send one Annie back as she was totaly unacceptable and the second one although inaccruarately described had hope of an improvement with a lot of loving care so I managed to get the seller to agree to a partial refund.

I think you are doing the right thing in looking into all your options and as she is a dark colour (chocolate I think ?) then you might manage to improve her appearance but I think that if you do keep her you should definitely try to renegotiate the price as you certainly wouldn't have bid so high if you had known her true condition. Good luck x

I probably undersell my bags when I put them on ebay as I point out every minor imperfection. I just like to be honest and not disappoint my buyers.

This seller said it was in vgc and when I contacted her after I received the bag she said "I didn't think it was in too bad a condition" which obviously isn't the vgc I was expecting. TBH if it were a different bag I'd just send it back and not be trying to restore it, however as you know I've been desperate for one and I've been looking for ages so it's not that simple. Glad you managed to restore your Annie with lots of TLC.

I'm still waiting for a reply from The Furniture Clinic, I'll let you know what they say. I have been offered a £50 partial refund from the seller. X

Such a shame it wasn't what you were expecting! Pre-loved can be so subjective, but IKWYM about describing every flaw when listing to sell yourself - I once had a buyer compliment me on the detail in my listing - I was equally complimentary about having a buyer who read it all!
I hope you get a good outcome.

Hello,
I just bought the Polly Push Lock bag. When I was paying for it the salesperson told me to buy the $16 spray to spray the bag. He told me if I don't the leather will bleed onto my clothes. I have leather bags from different companies and they never bled. This is my first expensive bag and I thought the quality should be excellent for the price, no? My friend said that if the leather bleeds that means its not good quality? Is this a good quality bag?

How do you spray the bag? You spray everything and wipe it off? Or let it dry?
I am nervous spraying it I fear I will ruin it :(

Hello all
Got a Mulberry Alexa in Oak and was recommended by the previous owner to use Wheelers Leather Balm on it (as she had done on all her Mulberry's). I just 'phoned customer service and they said not to use it as it is an alanine leather...
has anyone got experience of this? Have I done permanent damage and if so, what?!
Thanks

If you can try and fold the leather so that the stain is on the outer crease of the fold, I did this with a perfume stain and it just vanished before my eyes, where to I don't know !!!

In my Roxy bag buckle go broke. Ok, it was 6 years old but was not used much. Small strap on the side. ( I mean the stick that goes through the leather strap )
Whether anyone else broken buckles in Roxy bag?

From the same bag is also a loose one staple :(

Hi

I've just sat and read through all 15 pages but I still want to double check with any soft Matte Leather owners. I picked up the oversized tillie in Deer Soft Matte in the sale and I want to protect it as best I can. The website recommends collonil waterproofing spray, but they no longer sell it, But after reading it seems to be the best as recommended by you guys. Can I also use the collonil premium leather condition on the soft Matte Leather? I really don't want to add too much of a shine by conditioning and buffing the gorgeous bag!

Thanks so so much for any help

Hi guys
I've bought a chocolate Emmy from e bay and despite the seller saying they've used it a couple of times I think it's been used a lot more / not looked after. The leather seems to be very dry - I've used lord Sheraton leather cream on it and the colonial waterproof gel but it's still very dry - I'd appreciate any suggestions!

I don't know if I'm Posting in the correct section for my 2nd query: I've just noticed that the leather hoops that the brass hoops are in seems to be coming away - it seems to have some textile in it and glue seems to be disintegrating. It's not as well made as my roxanne leather hoops which are stitched all the way along rather than glued! Does anyone know if I can send it to mulberry or somehere else to be repaired? I have no idea how they would do it! Help gratefully appreciated! Here are some photos - I hope that you can see them!

Hi, you can still buy Collonil waterstop, I bought mine last week on eBay, reasonably priced if you buy two at a time. Good luck!

You can get it repaired by Mulberry, I have 2 Roxys one well used by me but not previously seems like its gonna last. The other an Oak well used by someone else very soft and grubby straps and missing one stud but it useable.

Drop them an email or sent it off via your local Mulberry shop thats what ill be doing. Sorry to hijack but does anyone know if Mulberry can replace straps as I hate the grubbyness of my oak?
x

Hi All,

Thank you for reading my thread, finally able to create one. Well I brought a genuine Oak Roxy on ebay a few months ago along with a chocolate not so used bag.

The Oak has very grubby ultra soft straps which I am not too keen on and was wondering if anyone knows of a good product and get it like new or new as? Or can Mulberry replace the straps at a price as I have a stud missing on it also I need repairing.

Is it normal for the flaps to go all soft and the pocket leather hand lower? Can anything be done to add structure again? I have already tried cardboard but its starting to fall out.

The whole bag could so with TLC any suggestions on product, its darwin. I dont fancy bidding on ebay anytime soon for another Oak Roxy so need to stick with this one but how are the new NVT oaks like for reference?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Laura
