Hi All - Here are pictures of my few months old BV Intrecciato Nappa with stains from my new jeans. I tried to 'wipe' off the stains with a clean cloth but not too well. Any advice please. Thank you!

I forgot to mention that I had sprayed it with a coat of apple brand garde rain & stain. Apparently that did not help to prevent the color transfer??
The jeans transfer is on the Apple Guard coating - I'd let it wear off naturally; whatever you're supposed to use to remove Apple Guard would probably damage the finish on your bag.

Hi all , i just gotten a BV wallet not long. However on the interior where card slots are , there is this one slot that has scratches and a bit of its leather is like shedding a little of its skin. It looks quite bad , probably scratched by cards.

Is anyone facing this or has any advice ? I am thinking of using Kiwi (brown leather) as it is the same color and can probably covers the 'shedding skin' portion completely.

Any suggestions please?

I took a light pink Bottega to the boutique and they first cleaned it and it didn't come out so well so I asked if they could try again and they sent it to Italy and had it entirely repainted and it looks brand new! They did not ask me for a receipt or anything (I bought mine at Saks).

I am sorry to say that pinks do not come that clean
they come cleaner but not by much
all light colors from BV darken on the handles from your skin
try wrapping a scarf around the handles so they don't darken
I was going past a Dior stand and saw an SA demonstrating the tying of a scarf round a Lady dior handle - a work of art!! Tried it on my light green veneta handle and although maybe a bit fussy looking, it does the job of protecting the handle arch from too much wear.

For those people who loves Saphir products and I would actually highly recommend them to those who haven't tried, I found the website who sells the whole range of their products. Saphir is French brand and has probably the best mildest moisturizer for Bottega Nappa. try it out :)

Hi kevlovlevis :-

Thank you for your recommendation. Have you apply Saphir on any of your BV bags yet? I would love to hear about your experience before I place an order .

Right now I have two particular BV bags that need a little attention. I have own them for at least 5 to 6 years now and were bought new from the boutiques. Therefore I don't think there was any kind of treatment to them before. I see some minor scuffs at the edges and color transfers. BTW I love my BV bags but I don't baby my bags nor do I leave them on the floor ;)

Personally I do not pre-condition any of my new BV bags. My intention now is only to condition or minimize any further wear.

p/s: I have Meltonian Delicate Cream and Cadillac Boot & Shoe Care but SO FAR I have not used them on my BVs ..

Also, I would welcome any input from other TPFers about your experience with denim transfers ..

Here are two pictures to share.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I use Saphir and Collini on my BV wallets and they work great...no need to worry whatsoever. They are some of the best leather products on the market.

I've been scared to treat my basket weave too….

Hello, it's been a while!

Basically, you rub the Nappa Balm right after purchase, it will condition, soften, and sometimes diminish the squeak squeak feeling new leather has. In the long run, the Nappa will get better in general. Depending on whether you want to waterproof it or not (I personally don't) you spray the Saphir Waterproofer afterwards. That's basically what you need to do with Bottega Nappa.

The products won't fix scuff and scratches (maybe light scratch will fade), unless you want to risk recoloring, which I don't suggest!

My Bottega Venetta wallet is starting to dry out around the edges and their are some light scratches. Can conditioner alone take care of this? When I called Bottega about it, they recommended The Leather Spa in NYC.

Has anyone used the conditioner they sell on their Bottega products, and what was the result? Is there anything they will do other than just condition it if I give it to them? Or am I better off just doing it myself?

I was told the store could clean and spa for your bag for free for the life of it. I haven't the need to do that as my bags are new but I am pretty sure that that is the service BV offer.
If you ring in the morning and they're not busy that day, you can drop the bag off and picky it up after you're done with your shopping, however, it's advised to let the treatment sit for a few hours after each layer, thus, my experienced SA told me its best to leave the leather to sit for a day between each coat. IDK could someone please shed some light into this matter?
