Bunnycat, your new additions are AMAZING! I’m especially loving the the colors in the last one. And the zebra is so cute! Adding it to my wishlist, stat!

I’ve also been bad. Like really bad. Like I-bought-five-scarves-in-as-many-weeks bad. It does make me a bit happier these days but I’m finding that it’s not enough. I’m ravenous for scarves and am not even savoring each one as it comes in, I’m just on to the next. I suspect that’s the grief. I’m forcing myself to slow down.

But I digress. One of my recent purchases was a moussie, Sulfures, which has been on my wishlist since I saw Lanit’s cobalt in this very thread maybe five years ago. I’m still searching for her cw but this’ll tide me over quite nicely.

It’s funny, when I first got it, it wasn’t love at first sight. I love green but it really has to be in the right shades for me to wear. The border on this is a sage green and there was more yellow than I was comfortable with in it. Plus, I think my current fuchsia hair doesn’t go as well with the colors in this scarf. But it won’t be fuchsia forever (maybe coral next!). The other thing that threw me off was the texture of the silk. I’m so used to the fine, soft wispiness of today’s mousseline than feeling the thickness of this one felt to me, well... a little like ... rayon. (Gasp!) I got over that feeling fast, though, when I realized how helpful the thicker fabric is when wearing it - the thing is springier than today’s moussie fabric, which makes it stay put a little better when wearing.

One more note: the seller was so very kind. If you are reading this, thank you so much again.

Congrats - lovely to see it came to a good home! I believe I stalked this one for the longest time but couldn’t commit, due to already owning a quite similar green Serenite, and because of the yellow. I love yellow but it doesn’t love me back, and having two greens when I’m still missing other colours didn’t feel right. It looks beautiful with your colouring - enjoy it in good health:-)

Yes! I would love to see a new group shot!!

Your last cull brings up some very interesting points. Not all busy designs are bad, I know some collectors have rules like no busy prints, no orange and etc. ( all examples!!:P) But I must remember every design merits its own review. One of the biggest problems for me is subject matter and colourways. No matter how much I love the colourway if I don’t like the subject matter I won’t wear it. An expensive mistake that I do not want to repeat again.

You have some good ideas. I don’t think I’m going to look at my collection...just yet.:P I’m still “attached” to them all. But I understand size can make all the difference. I think I could talk about this subject all day!! I think I will keep refining my collection until I no longer wear scarves!!:P

Thank you for sharing Bunnycat!!:flowers:

@Joannadyne congrats on your beautiful sulfures! One of my favorite designs! I have a couple other colourways and I think your acid green is fabulous!!:flowers:

@Jbizzybeetle the way you have tied les cles in your hair is fabulous!! Congrats to you too!:flowers:

It seems it is raining beautiful green moussies in this thread! I feel green with envy and now want one of my own!!:P

This I can relate to - i.e. if not liking or interested in the pattern/topic equals a no buy for me as well - thus probably missing out on a good many great CWs, though:-)

Bunnycat and Holsby, here is my Ors. ....t’s a changeant....

@katekluet that is so beautiful!! I haven't seen many printed changeants (with strong patterns) but maybe I am just not quite in the know. If you find yourself with time next time you wear her would you mind sharing some additional photos? I love it.

I love @bunnycat and @Holsby CW as well. Such a beautiful scarf!!

Beautiful! Keep cool today!
And I agree, wish they would bring back 90 moussies

They are perfect for summer - this is gorgeous!!

And you look perfect wearing the lovely Contre Courant , love 90 mousselines for all seasons,
I’m still trying rock the 140 which you all wear so well!

Thank you Scarf, Cookie and froufrou; glad to know I am not alone in my wishes for H rethinking this size again. Plus the older moussies are so sturdy and hold up so much better than the recent issues.

Yo, textile ! It’s been quite a ride this past year and thanks for your thumbs up. P.S. to @froufrou, thank you for correcting my typo on the scarf name. You got it right!

Didn’t notice that , I was too busy gazing at the scarf :wtf:
I’d love to know which other colours the mousseline came in, I’ve seen orange but it was super bright even by my orange loving standards.

Alphapois losange mousseline, medium model 114x48cm, c/w Bleu moyen/Bleu roy. SS 2019
There will probably not be any pulled threads or snags in this fabric. The weave is thin, tight, strong, still light. The weight is 6g (0,21oz), which is the same as for a 45cm mousseline gavroche.
The fabric has a shimmering lustre.
I like very much this type of chiffon/mousseline. It differs from the mousselines I am familiar with, which are 140cm and 45cm.
Posting pictures with some ways of wearing this chiffong, perfect for summer.

Beautiful and congrats Holsby! I'm still on the fence on this one. It rally seems like a semi changeant in some of your pics. There's a blue glow hovering in the folds in some of the pics that you normally don't see in regular chiffon.
