Moussie-of-the-Day: soleil losangeView attachment 4486046

But my new favorite - Moussie-of-the-Other-Day: Ex libris madras bandana. I love the texture and "stiffness." Really want the other colorway too.

The soleil losange is a fabulous colour, very fresh and lively.
I’m loving the madras mousseline , so happy to see it again....
Hermès seem to be exploring checks and stripes the past two seasons, the eyeliner 90cm silks have a similar jaunty vibe and texture.

Thank you! And I succumbed - the navy and green colorway is in the mail. Crikey!

Finally wearing this little one!

This looks wonderful meta. I have to ask you as well as others, @papertiger , @Cookiefiend , @Holsby , and @tinsleypence, that have the madras mousseline, how you are "taming" the stiffness? I was able to order both CW's from my SA, and have only received CW02 thus far. CW01 to arrive on Monday. Regardless, after waiting so long for this format and design, I am concerned about how tricky this may be to wear. If I try in a cowboy style knot, the silk pops right up into my face since the material doesn't seem to want to lie flat. Have any of you found that as you wear it and use it that the stiffness fades a bit? Thank you, I hope to make one of the CW's work...I really love how they look on those who have it already! All of you look so effortlessly chic in them!

I'm afraid I'm not the best person to answer you as I literally only just wore this for the first time today. I actually love how it stays stiff for my simple bias knot. @papertiger wore hers as a cowboy knot, so perhaps she would be able to give you some insight.

I’ve only worn mine twice - both times in a bias fold - once tied up closer to my neck and once with it knotted towards the ends. I haven’t noticed it losing any body though, even after washing it!
I looooove how @Holsby has tied hers but haven’t figured it out yet... a moussie with enough oomph to carry a scarf ring! Amazing!

I just tie it loosely as a triangle (point to front, knot to back). This way it sits lower on the neck and is more relaxed. The 55 is too short to do a real cowboy

Thank you Cookiefiend, I will have to keep playing with it to see if I shall keep it!

Thank you so much papertiger, I'll try a smaller knot at the back and see if I can get the drape I like.

Thank you Bova!
I hope the stiffness always will remain. No stiffness - no ExLibris Madras.
Here two pictures - Taming with scarf ring and Taming with scarf ring and simple knot.
The scarf ring has some weight which will hold the scarf down and also it keeps the fabric gathered.

Holsby, thank you so much for taking the time to show these examples. I will definitely experiment with my scarf rings to tame the "pouf" of the bandana. I do love the lightness of the fabric, so I hope I can make it work for me. Again, many thanks for your help! :hugs:
