It’s been rainy and chilly here recently, perfect weather for mousselines! I wore these two this past week.

Beautiful etoile! I love the drama of the moussie with trench coat!

After reading this thread, I checked my brand new mousseline, Della Cavalleria in the lavender/blue CW. Sure enough, it did have a very tiny hole near the hem. My SA told me to bring it in and she and the SM both decided it needed to be replaced. Waiting for a new one from Las Vegas. Hope it's perfect as I absolutely love the scarf.

Yes please post pics! I think this is the one I am looking for. No sightings of it on the web yet.

Here is my Paddock (GM) in green.

BBC and mimi123, what stunners! Thank you for the glimpse of these beauties. H really seems to pull out all the stops on Clerc pieces, be they twills or mousselines. I don't think I've ever seen a Clerc coloration that was anything less than spectacular, and these pieces are no exception!

Both absolute beauties! I'm especially enamored of the shade of blue in your Exercises.

Oh my! I'm sorry to hear this and I'm now going to inspect my fresh from the store Savana Dance first thing tomorrow morning. There was a long thread, like 30+cm, sticking out from the hem that I noticed when I tried it. SA cut it off and I didn't check further. I'm thinking about getting more Savana Dance but I had bad experience with Iris as well last year. My HG CW was finally transferred to my only to find that there was a big pull and was sent back before I was even able to see it. After a few months I ran into another one on the other side of the world. Just when I was convinced it was meant to be I saw a snag that was so bad that it kind of turned into a hole. It was not easy to give it up but I don't think it's even possible to damage a scarf so badly. I'll have to rethink if I want to purchase moussies in the future if it happens so often.

Cavalla, your Savana Dance colorway is absolutely mesmerizing-- I was already fantasizing about collecting it too, even as I was pulling the trigger on the Jaune Vif colorway. I really hope yours turns out to be perfect.

Tensgrl, I'm so sad to hear about Della Cavalleria. Please do let us know how the Vegas replacement goes!

For my part, my replacement Savana Dance arrived at the boutique this weekend. My SA lifted the lid off the box, and there was a big fat pull with a corkscrew thread jutting out of it staring us right in the face as soon as the tissue paper was parted. She is sending it back to the web store herself this time, and I hope hearing from an SA might help add to the chorus of pleas for better quality control. She has also requested a THIRD example of the stole, but I don't have high hopes that one without flaws will turn up, and even if it did, I would need to think hard about it knowing that over time, it would likely show more damage than many of my others. It is a truly gorgeous pattern in the mousseline, however-- genuinely transporting. Sigh.

Meanwhile I will console myself with more forays into my existing mousseline collection. Thanks for all your lovely comments and likes on the coral selection! Now to consider what part of the spectrum to pull out next....

Oh no!! I hope they'll do something about it! I'm considering the absinthe CW as well for its springy refreshing vibe. I usually visit my store late afternoon and often the sun is setting so most likely I won't be able to notice pulls or snags unless they're super obvious. This is really concerning. I hope they send you a pristine replacement very soon and hopefully the one I reserve will be from the good batch as well. These moussies are so fabulous I hope I won't have to turn my head away from them due to the lack of quality control!

I've just pulled out my greens for a quick snap, although I reserve the right to re-take this one if my absinthe Savanna ever makes it to me in one piece! :-s Some of these look more blue-dominant in the photos, but they are definitely on the green spectrum IMO. I have several that I thought would be hard to sort into blue vs. green, but it turned out to be a clearer decision than I thought.

Flots and Treve are absolute favorites for me out of this group. Amoreaux used to be, but I went off it a bit-- I need to make more of an effort with it this summer!

Hi bunnycat, thanks so much! Thought of you yesterday, while organizing my scarves, and was looking at my tiny collection of two mousseline pochettes. The miniaturized patterns are just so cute!

I'd love for them to release more mousselines in Clerc designs, they suit the transparent fabric so well!

Thank you :flowers:, the Excercises stole was a lucky find!

So very sorry to hear your replacement had such an obvious flaw...and front and center upon opening the box! :oh: Best wishes regarding finding another, but I understand your reluctance if one is found!

Fantastic selection! Fun to see them side by side, the Capucines especially ,that's one I often hover over feeling tempted.
I'm a great fan of green mousselines: delicate, moody ,mysterious bring them on!

Just as I read Calexandre's post showing her greens, the postman hammered on the door.
Bunnycat, I did say all these great modelling shots drive me to search for mousselines!
Your 90cm Vinci mousseline is the one that always intrigued me , I love the smoky colours and it always looks cool on you . Also mention of metallic overlay , wow!
I happened on one last week , I thought it was your colour way but on inspection I realised it was different , almost a shadowy Xray image of yours .
I couldn't work out how it would be from the images , so couldn't wait to see it .
First impression , yay , love it. It's retro and definitely not girly…good. Those olives are almost bronze changeant in some light. Contrast hem , love!
It's grey, brown, yellow , green depending how the light falls. Intersting.
No sign of metallic overlay …although the curlicues have a different feel to the background.
Second , it stinks of cigarettes , yuk! I want to dunk it in water , now.

Anyone dare me to wash it? It feels vintage, but not thick like the older 140cm I've had . The weave feels delicate and crispy . It has a few small patchy areas , not exactly pulls or runs .
I can't imagine keeping it unless it goes in the wash .

Liking it so far with the tricky- to- wear- scarf yellow jumper .
