Hi everyone.

I've been busily photographing my collection of mousselines to add here to the ODE—one of my favorite to view. I would like to start with an unusual one. I realize that this thread mostly covers the silk mousselines, but this cotton/silk mousse is very special.

This is an Étole Jamdani crafted in Bengal for the Year of India SS2008. After six years of searching, I finally found one of these holy grails. Jamdani is an exceptional form of weaving that's been designated a UNESCO Intangible Cutural Heritage of Humanity. It's one of the types of Indian weaving I've been wishing to acquire for over 15 years, and it seems so fitting that Hermès would cultivate and celebrate this craft.

Thank you for letting me share.

Wow! such an exceptional piece! Thanks for sharing the pics and the description. I'm awed by your mousse. 😍

Can't wait for more pics from your collection!

Wow, what a lovely piece - I've never seen one like it. I particularly love the little caleche as part of the stitching! I'd love to see one of these IRL, thanks for sharing the pix!

Gorgeous, and to get them on sale...icing on the cake! Congratulations on two great additions!!! :)

Wow, stunning on you calexandre! Lucky gal!:woohoo:

One Two Three
The two so far are not only special but remarkable
Not sure I see the lurking diabolical possibilities but I do see drop dead glamour
Both will be show stoppers on you
Congrats on snagging these treasures

Wow! Love that blue!!!

Your emeraude Flots is one gorgeous mousse, congrats calexandre!

This blue is so extraordinarily beautiful, C! It's perfect for you. And the green . . . I really can't wait to see this in person. I think it could be one of the most exceptional scarves by Hermès.

Thank you so much, everyone! I'm wearing the blue one just about continuously these days... and playing with that dramatic emerald one lots to figure out how best to show it off. :graucho:

Not only is this stunning in and of itself, that creamy white color looks beautiful against your skin! This is a match made in (silky, cottony) heaven. Big, big congratulations on snagging this (figurative snagging only!).

I have started down the slippery slope with my first moussie! A re-homed Cheval de Karnak in pristine condition, soft and gorgeous. And perfect for summer. I am so happy!View attachment 2681837View attachment 2681838

Yessss! It is indeed a slippery slope-- congrats on the first, and happy hunting for the others that are sure to follow. You've photographed this one really nicely, by the way! It's a terrific colorway in this pattern, and I love that your manicure picks up the border color.
