After reading some of the entries in this thread, I actually got the nerve up to wear my lovely mousseline to dinner. I am so happy I am getting encouragement from other Hermes lovers. Thanks everyone.

Hello moussies, I'm just back from the Paris sale with a couple of new chiffons to add to the thread-- or rather, some more photos of some chiffons that have already appeared in the thread, but with mousselines, I always think the more pictures, the better. They are so infernally hard to photograph, especially the changeants!

I brought back a citrusy Effluves gavroche and two GM Flots de Cheval: one in the Bleu Lac/Petrole/Cobalt colorway, and one changeant in Emeraude/Bordeaux/Vert. Ladies, if you love blue, I can't recommend the Bleu Lac enough. I didn't seek this one out in the store because I tend to gravitate towards contrast-y patterns, and I thought this one wouldn't be intricate enough. Oh my was I wrong! This is the perfect, perfect blue mousseline. Unlike my other blue mousselines (and y'all know I have a lot of those), this one pops even when worn against other blues. It's hard to capture how vibrant and how complex this one is in person, but I hope the modeling shot shows a tiny hint of its depth (excuse my posture, by the way). This is one I would have gladly bought full price if I'd known what a gorgeous piece it is in person. I feel extra lucky for having found it in the sale, though I HATE that H puts that S stamp even on delicate, transparent chiffon.

The Emeraude Flots is an entirely different beast. It's somehow both glamorous and sinister, and it's unlike anything else in my collection. I feel like Snow White's evil stepmother when I try it on. It's extremely dramatic, and I'm still pondering how to style it, but I'm pretty certain this is an evening or winter mousse for me. This one's also a changeant, as if it weren't showy enough already. The last picture gives a hint of how iridescent it is, like a beetle's wings.

Thanks for letting me share! :smile1:

Oh my goodness. The blue is absolutely fabulous. I can definitely get the evil vibe from the other, but it probably goes away when you wear it. Congratulations.

WOW! These are both amazing. The blue on blue, with your hair! FAB.
Can't wait to see some sinister styling from the Emerald/copper Flots!
And did you say citrus-y gavroche??? :coolio:

More confessions Chestnutty, and this is heresy I know, I have not opted for a single purchase from SS2014, not a silk twill or a mousse or a CSGM! I've shocked myself even :amazed: I'm hoping to maintain my silk cred with purchases from other seasons (hehehe, awaiting a package from an H angel as we speak!). And of course, there's still time to be swept off my feet :graucho:

This is a wonderful cw lovelyhongbao, wear it in good health!

These are beautiful choices calexandre, and will be glorious with that mane! :p

This blue is so extraordinarily beautiful, C! It's perfect for you. And the green . . . I really can't wait to see this in person. I think it could be one of the most exceptional scarves by Hermès.

Hi everyone.

I've been busily photographing my collection of mousselines to add here to the ODE—one of my favorite to view. I would like to start with an unusual one. I realize that this thread mostly covers the silk mousselines, but this cotton/silk mousse is very special.

This is an Étole Jamdani crafted in Bengal for the Year of India SS2008. After six years of searching, I finally found one of these holy grails. Jamdani is an exceptional form of weaving that's been designated a UNESCO Intangible Cutural Heritage of Humanity. It's one of the types of Indian weaving I've been wishing to acquire for over 15 years, and it seems so fitting that Hermès would cultivate and celebrate this craft.

Thank you for letting me share.
