I did actually play around with #10 this morning a bit! I'm so looking forward to wearing it with a t-shirt and khaki trousers when the weather warms up... but the picture with a cashmere turtleneck is a bit more realistic at the moment where I live. Brrrrr.

I do love how different this pattern looks depending on how it's folded.

I didn't understand why this pattern looked so well on u. Now I do. I love grey & I love the way u tie your moussie! Yes, I tend to go for a 'picture' on a scarf rather than a pattern. A 'picture' scarf is more interesting since different 'scenes' will appear when u fold it in different ways. It seems cw10 is a rather popular pattern here. At least 4 tpfers (bem included) here have it!:D Still others may follow!

Just lovely, calexandre! I have Axis Mundi coming to me in 08 and 10 and cannot wait to see them in real life...
oh bem, u are so lucky! I love the AM design but was not able to source either cw7 or cw8. I was later told by an SA that anything orange or red sells particularly well here. U will love your 10 & 8. Remember to take mod shots & wear them in good health.:smile1:

Hi Chestnutty,
I don't know how to thank u! I finally got my red moussie exactly 12hrs after reading your post!:yahoo:Now this Coup de Fouet has a special place in my heart because this is the first H scarf I bought for myself. Up to now, this is the only 90 scarf I've worn repeatedly!

Acting on your intelligence, I called the SAs from different boutiques to keep an eye on this cw10 fuchsia jaune/parme/rose for me. Never in a million yrs would I imagine that one of the boutiques actually had it in the previous day! In fact, I did tell this boutique that I was trying to get a red moussie a few days before. But as usual, H goods of all description fly out of local boutiques & there is no need to reserve things for customers, maybe unless that is a croc birkin with diamonds for their VVIPs! So it was really a stroke of luck that I got this cw in the nick of time. In fact, the remaining one(they got 2 cw10 in) was sold hrs after I was gone!

Once again, I must thank u & all those tpfers who have helped me in my search. U don't know how much joy I get from finally sourcing my dream moussie!:smile1:

Congratulations, D Lee! These are such lovely colours! I'm glad you managed to sate your red/pink mousseline urge so quickly. Well done for hunting this down.

Thank you for the detailed photos before and for these modelling pics, calexandre. This looks exquisite on you and the pattern shows so well (compared to my CW8). It must be even prettier in real life with the lilac changeant effect. Perfect colours for spring/summer too. Congrats and enjoy!

I agree with you completely about pictures and the way they fold-- excellent observation.

CW10 really is picking up steam around here, isn't it? I hope we see lots more modeling shots for inspiration on tying this complex pattern.

Oooooh, 08 and 10 is going to be a great "set" to have in this pattern! Both those colorways are just gorgeous, and so so different. I hope they arrive soon....

I just love this cw - you and D Lee will be the end of me!

Thank you fig and Monceau! :hugs:

Yay!!! I'm so excited, D Lee, I'm going to be twins with you on the Coup!
I kept going back to your picture all weekend and I called my SA this morning. As luck would have it, she has one in stock, so it is on it's way to me!!!
Thank you for posting this lovely pic - I have been dreaming about this mouse ever since I saw it!:flowers:

Oh Monceau,
I feel so happy for u. I know how u feel. I jumped up with joy as soon as I got mine. I even whatsapped the photo to friends who are not really into scarves!:D A scarf, let alone a moussie is, to me, an expensive purchase & I almost always sleep on it & if it is still on my mind after a couple of days, I go to purchase it.
As a bonus, this one has a strong changent effect which could be rather easily observed. As another tpfer once observed,it may be very loud if one wears a red-orangey scarf, but a moussie provides a much softer effect. U will enjoy her for many years to come, for sure:smile1: Remember to post mod shots. Congratulations!

Calexandre So so lovely this mousseline, it looks truly excellent with the cashmere roll neck ...I never would have thought so but it's a wiinning combination precisely because of the unexpectedness .
I adore yellow accents in scarves too , they cleverly illuminate the complexion in my case.

DLee You found another magnificent mousseline here, I love the Indian inspired pairing of saffron yellow with that TDF fuschia .

Thx for your compliments, ladies! I have missed moussies before by stalling. So this time I took action as soon as I got the intel. But what is surprising is that the colors are even more spectacular than I thought! What a pleasant surprise!:smile1:

how beautifully tied, calexandre. there is definitely an art to tying these that is very different from the cashmeres. gorgeous.

Thanks, frou frou! I'm finding this particular yellow really flattering, too, which is a pleasant surprise for this yellow-avoider. Having always loved yellow shades on others, I'm very pleased to have my own scarf with a little shot of sunshine in it. :sunshine:

Thanks, kingfisher! I still feel very new to this mousseline-tying-business, so I'm terribly grateful for your compliments. Sometimes the moussies seem much easier to throw on than the C/S or silk twills because their transparency makes them forgiving of sloppy folding, but sometimes they seem so much harder because it's easy to lose the lofty, floaty characteristics of the fabric in some of the more conventional knots I use for twills. I hope all the mousseline wearers on tPF will keep posting their modeling shots here, as they're a true inspiration for those of us who are newer converts!

This is Coup de Fouet cw8 noir/violet/ardoise. This really is an interesting cw. Folded differently, the mousseline looks like 2 entirely different scarves. Enchanting!

OMG D Lee- every post of yours gets me in trouble!
You look exquisite, and now I must track this cw down as well.:graucho:
I've been away from my new goodies (boo hoo) but I hope to post a thing or two this weekend. I must find this cw of Coup, it is so sophisticated. Thanks for sharing!
