Hi Chestnutty,
I don't know how to thank u! I finally got my red moussie exactly 12hrs after reading your post!:yahoo:Now this Coup de Fouet has a special place in my heart because this is the first H scarf I bought for myself. Up to now, this is the only 90 scarf I've worn repeatedly!

D Lee, congratulations! This is beautiful on you! :woohoo: I love that wide yellow border.

Thx calexandra! I wasn't able to get Axis Mundi cw7, but I still managed to get a similar-colored CdF as a consolation prize. But I still keep your cw7 on my tablet so I can drool over it every now & then. It is human nature to treasure what u can't get!

BTW, I seem to detect the changeant effect of our cw10. Yay!:D Oh, when are u going to post your mod shots? I love them since I can always admire how people put their ensemble together & how they knot their scarves!

Acting on your intelligence, I called the SAs from different boutiques to keep an eye on this cw10 fuchsia jaune/parme/rose for me. Never in a million yrs would I imagine that one of the boutiques actually had it in the previous day! In fact, I did tell this boutique that I was trying to get a red moussie a few days before. But as usual, H goods of all description fly out of local boutiques & there is no need to reserve things for customers, maybe unless that is a croc birkin with diamonds for their VVIPs! So it was really a stroke of luck that I got this cw in the nick of time. In fact, the remaining one(they got 2 cw10 in) was sold hrs after I was gone!

Once again, I must thank u & all those tpfers who have helped me in my search. U don't know how much joy I get from finally sourcing my dream moussie!:smile1:

Just lovely, congrats! Were you able to see any other cws for Fouet?

Thx textile girl! There is another cw. It's 7 or 8. But I could only remember 2 of the colors on the tag: ardoise & violet. The third one must be blue as this cw goes well with my jeans.Very pretty as well! But I think we really should wait for more cws to appear before committing ourselves! Unless u are hell-bent on a particular color, like I was crazy about a red/orange moussie!:p & would just buy anything in that color!:D

Hi cp,
U're the person I must thank. U have been very generous to share your goodies with us! I was in a hurry to go this morning & only focused on your stunning cw10. I sort of glossed over your treasures & really love your Evelyns. They will definitely look very well on young city girls. I don't wear CDCs but yours are so stunning that I stopped to admire them even though I risked arriving late for the appointment. My general impression is that the whole collection is very well color-coordinated & meticulously chosen. Congratulations! Do give us some mod shots. We all love eye candies!

I must thank u again for posting the Coup de Fouet shots. Without them, all I could hope for is to chance upon my dream moussie one of these days when I drop by the boutique! U made me a very happy person indeed.:D

Ok so looks like we almost completed the Axis Mundi mousse cws. There are 7 colorways in total (at least in the U.S. as I'm aware). I'll summarize them up to make it easier for reference in the future. Reference code and cw code included in the file name.
S04: Chartreuse/Chocolat/Vert. Non-changeant. A beautiful monochromatic true green shawl with dark green hem, green leaf details, and brown tree branches, with chartreuse in the background. Must-have for green scarfies. Photo pending permission from a friend who has it.

S05: Sable azur/Ardoise/Rouille. Changeant (copper/blue sheen)

I'm all set and ready for the next target: Ors Bleus d'Afrique :boxing:

Thank you so much for posting this! Great overview. The red is to die for....

I'm so pleased to have caused some damage to your wallet . Didn't the hunt make the whole purchase more exciting?
I think this cws look great and suit your complexion well. Very happy and warm tones, with lovely fuchsia sheen.
I think Ors Bleus d'Afrique won't be here at least until May, so I think our money tree is safe for now.

Thx for your kind compliments. There's so much adventure hunting these scarves down.:laugh::laugh: BTW, do u know how many cws there are for coup de Fouet? Really like this design. Also, my SA thought Ors Bleus d' Africa wouldn't be here till fall though!

I'm a little model-shy... But all you ladies (and gentlemen) on TPF are always so generous with real-life modelling shots, so here goes... The first picture is without flash, the second with flash. I wore this today and was fascinated with the subtle fuschia changeant effect (you can just make it out in the second picture).

Chestnut, thank you for the pictures--so helpful! OMG, has anyone gotten the red cw #8 yet?? Holy Camole!

D Lee--gasping, salivating!! My favorite colors and that border--oh my goodness. You look amazing!!

Chestnut, you cause a lot of stir around here---wow!

Just picked up my Axis Mundi CW10, and had an interesting experience in the boutique. When I put it on, the SM and I both immediately noticed a lilac changeant effect! However, now that I've gotten it home, I can't seem to capture the color-shift that occurred in the boutique lighting.

Nonetheless, my guess, based on what the SM and I saw in the boutique-- and based on the colorway name-- is that this is a changeant mousse, but a very very subtle one because the color difference between the poudre and irise threads is not as dramatic as, say, the difference between the turquoise and fuschia threads in my Aux Portes, which has a very strong changeant appearance. Perhaps this would explain why D Lee and I didn't notice a changeant while looking at this moussie on previous occasions. :thinkin: Oh, the mysteries of Hermes....

Anyway, a few pictures in different lighting, from my failed attempts to show you all the changeant. :p

I just love this cw - you and D Lee will be the end of me!

Oh my, the color in this is spectacular! Coup is such a chic design already - what an amazing job they did with this cw. I love this on you, D Lee, bravo!

How could this be? H only puts out 6 mousseline GMs & 3 stoles per year. And out of this ltd supply, not all boutiques order all the designs nor colors! And whatever they order they do so in very small quantities. So it really would be a strange coincidence that u walk into H & then see a moussie u like!

Thx Monceau! My greatest worry now IS that Coup is such a chic design & I would be seeing mod pics of it in its various cws. I must take my leave from this forum until my financial injuries are fully recovered!:D

I did actually play around with #10 this morning a bit! I'm so looking forward to wearing it with a t-shirt and khaki trousers when the weather warms up... but the picture with a cashmere turtleneck is a bit more realistic at the moment where I live. Brrrrr.

I do love how different this pattern looks depending on how it's folded.

Just lovely, calexandre! I have Axis Mundi coming to me in 08 and 10 and cannot wait to see them in real life...
