Other colorways not yet posted (feel free to let me know if you think I should add anything)
sable azur/mauve/bleu (likely a blue/copper brown changeant)
violet/caban/vert sapin
rose indien/caban/rouge
caramel/vert/marron

The emeralde is GORGEOUS!!! I NEED it for sure!!! :)

Thanks, I think it's quite close to Axis Mundi 07 Fuchsia Jaune/Ardoise/Rose. If the Les Flots de Cheval 12 Rose Fluo/Rouge/Violet is more red, it might work.

Are u trying to get les Flots de Cheval cw12 as well? I was about to purchase it in mid-Mar before I got my Coup de Fouet cw10. But that only one in the boutique was slightly flawed & they never had another one in. Later I was able to compare the Coup de Fouet cw30 side by side with les Flots cw12 before purchase. Both were lovely & rather different. I wouldn't mind getting both if the les Flots were not defective. I only bought the CdF cw10 & to this day, I am willing to buy the les Flots cw12 as well if a non-defective one appears!

I have just purchased Axis Mundi 07. And then I saw Chestnutty's post on les Flots de Cheval 12 which I like the print but thought similar in terms of colouring to the AM 07. But if the les Flots is more red (and less pinky red like the AM), perhaps it's ok to have both. I think inventory is still tricking in so you might still be able to find the les Flots 12.

Thx for your encouragement, ms piggy. I certainly hope to purchase the les Flots cw12. But chances are not good because business at local Hs is just too good. Even when I request scarves from various SAs, nobody bothers to call me. So I have to try my luck by visiting H boutiques weekly or bi-monthly to get the goodies!

BTW, AM cw7 is a VERY beautiful scarf. Congratulations! I also tried to purchase this but again all boutiques were out of stock. In the end I was finally able to buy my third choice-Coup de Fouet cw10, & this was only after acting on the intelligence provided by Chestnutty. Poor me!

Just picked up my Axis Mundi CW10, and had an interesting experience in the boutique. When I put it on, the SM and I both immediately noticed a lilac changeant effect! However, now that I've gotten it home, I can't seem to capture the color-shift that occurred in the boutique lighting.

Nonetheless, my guess, based on what the SM and I saw in the boutique-- and based on the colorway name-- is that this is a changeant mousse, but a very very subtle one because the color difference between the poudre and irise threads is not as dramatic as, say, the difference between the turquoise and fuschia threads in my Aux Portes, which has a very strong changeant appearance. Perhaps this would explain why D Lee and I didn't notice a changeant while looking at this moussie on previous occasions. :thinkin: Oh, the mysteries of Hermes....

Anyway, a few pictures in different lighting, from my failed attempts to show you all the changeant. :p

Congratulations on your cw10! This is so pretty, with or without the changeant effect. I haven't worn it outside the home since purchase. One of these days I must examine it under good daylight to see if I could observe the changeant! Anyways, I am so glad to be twins with u on this one!

Just lovely, calexandre! I have Axis Mundi coming to me in 08 and 10 and cannot wait to see them in real life...

Wahoo, ladies, I just received my #10 Axis Mundi. I find it the most beautiful, in an odd way coloration of any Hermes piece I have. The saffron yellow with the black hem is crazy gorgeous however, I opened it with my mom present and she thought it was ghastly. So funny how we see things differently. I also opened a cw 7 and 9 that I ordered for a friend, and mom thought these were delightful. I am so happy to have joined the Axis party. Now for the Flots du Cheval!!!

Thanks, frou frou! I'm finding this particular yellow really flattering, too, which is a pleasant surprise for this yellow-avoider. Having always loved yellow shades on others, I'm very pleased to have my own scarf with a little shot of sunshine in it. :sunshine:

Thanks, kingfisher! I still feel very new to this mousseline-tying-business, so I'm terribly grateful for your compliments. Sometimes the moussies seem much easier to throw on than the C/S or silk twills because their transparency makes them forgiving of sloppy folding, but sometimes they seem so much harder because it's easy to lose the lofty, floaty characteristics of the fabric in some of the more conventional knots I use for twills. I hope all the mousseline wearers on tPF will keep posting their modeling shots here, as they're a true inspiration for those of us who are newer converts!

calexandre: You are so SPOT ON with Mousselines with this observation. While I love them, they are a different animal in that they do not have a substance, a pillowy cloudy feel that c/s gms or twills have; and, while this is part of their charm, it does add a dimension of tying difficulty as they can get paltry and spindly looking if tied "incorrectly."

And, I have found that while a s/c gm actually with fluff up with use, a mousse somehow loses a pillowy-ness as she ages. However, this has to do with the difference between changeant and regular mouse and the age of the mousse. IMO, changeants lose a puffiness, and kind of, thin out. Regular mousses stay more in form from the minute you receive them, and older mousses, are even more robust than today's mousses.

If someone has found their observations to be contrary, please share. I find this so helpful as it develops our understanding of our beloved Hermes pieces.

You gorgeous girls are going to get sick of me but I wore Axis Mundi cw #10 out for errands. Pony, flip flops, jean jacket--you know--slumming it, but of course a mousse. Goofy, but now I feel good.

How fascinating sparkle, about your observations about various mousselines and how they wear. I have one changeant, it is the Litteratures and I do notice it tends to be lesser in body or softer than my others, and I have worn it just a few times. The one that stays 'perkiest' is the ones that have less ink on them I think, such as the bolduc stole in black/white and the Gloria mousse from a few years ago with the splashes of neutral brush strokes. The one I wear the most is the pale pink C. Henry mousse, Nuees Imaginaires. It seems to be holding up just fine.

Its gorgeous sparkle! I love this colorway on you and how you have tied it! Brava! I am fond of that bit of lime green on the edge too :)

Oh lisa,
Çongratulations! Wear your AM cw10 in good health! I could completely understand your mother's reaction. When I was at the boutique, I was shown cw6,7(I called beforehand to reserve this one) & 10. I didn't choose cw10 but bought cw6 rightaway because it went so well with my top & jeans. Cw10 is in no way 'ghastly'. But unlike any of my mousselines, it doesn't scream, ' Look at me, I am Hermes & I am unique!' This is understated elegance in this true sense of the word. Resistance was futile & I went back within days to get it!:D

Ñow for the les Flots du Cheval. This is the design whose red cw was out of stock even before I considered AM in early March. Which cw are u considering?

You put it well D but yellows and lime greens can reflect jaundice and sickliness---yep, that's where mom went. Haha.

Oh dear, the red and fuchsia cw is screaming at me in a piercing chant: Buy me. Buy me!! But, I have to find one first. And as someone else mentioned--there is another cw that sounds interesting--gotta see it...can't remember which and these darn French names---I have no idea what color is which.

A picture speaks more than a thousand words. This Coup de Fouet was purchased 10 days ago & probably on her 3rd outing. It was puffy two hrs before the photo was taken. U can see what it looked like after I had it on for 2 hrs.

FYI, I haven't ironed or washed it. It hasn't been in the rain as well. My other 3 mousselines(Axis Mundi cw6 & 10, Coup de Fouet cw10), all purchased in March, are holding up much better! I wonder what the best indicater of puffiness is!
